Eagle, any chance you could give me a hand with the transparent materials? What is the material setting? How should the opacity maps be setup?

I´m back at home and getting the hang of crutches. Probably back to work on Tuesday!! Finally!!
Anyway…small update of the cockpit…finally with some “bodywork”, now its easier to imagine it in game I believe! Heavy WIP…all textures and geometry are place holders! Same for the “flying” Standby Compass

As a 3DS solid model, yes. But this is not a fully functional stuff. Even in this state at least MFD buttons and MFD screens should be alive, regardless the buttons are not animated. Selecting and determining how wish to simulate F-14 cockpit, switches, knobs, ect. with F-16C background exe support is not easy I think.

Yes.
But I always like to know what we have currently, and what is the plan. Without the mentioned minimal functionality the pit is unusable because I never learned the MFD’s keycombinations as well as many other “hotkey” functions.

Once ready to implement, the HUD and mfd will be priority… I have a feeling they won’t be that difficult to implement (the displays), about the functionality of the mfd buttons I’m not really sure!

First In Game Test!
I know it looks like crap at the moment (I haven’t assigned all the textures) but I am soooo happy!! Lots of trial and error on the LE. It feels really good in side, it already has its own character and feel…It was awesome to fly around the carrier in my pit!! Excited!! Good times ahead!
by just replacing the existing pit the HUD and MFDs are already there, I will need to change the coordinates of where they render.
Question 1. What is the difference in the “Art” folder between ckptart and ckptartn?
Question 2. I guess the data for the F-14D is in folder 649…In it I can read the following?

ckptartn was for the 2D nightpits in earlier days, … I think it’s obsolete.

IMHO the best is to look at the 3dckpit.dat files of a F- 16, … it’s well documented there.

Add the line:
6dof_ready 1;
… to your 3dckpit.dat file
