I tried adding F16CM-50 to another skin set but it will mix up all existing squadron textures (eg: fuselage with stabilizer texture)
Is BMS or Janhas model has a limitation of 7 texture sets or do I have to edit somewhere else? -

Have there been any updates since the 4.35.1 release from JanHas? I see that JanHas.net is down…:(

@peca_chuck Hey! I’ve recently discovered this thread and came across your post a few years ago regarding the model proportions. I’m aware that it’s quite old and some things might have been fixed, but something I’d like to help with and add is the shape of the Pratt & Whitney intakes. I felt as if they were big, so I compared them to images. Then I traced out the edge of the inlets and matched the tops to see the difference in curvature. Here’s what I gathered:
The real intake has more of a curve across the top and does not reach as far down towards the bottom. The sides are also much more rounded.
Nonetheless the work that has been put into these models is awesome! Keep up the great work JanHas.

@kujo
They both look fine to me. But I don’t think that they both show the PW intake.

@razor161 I’m aware of the two different intakes. The first photo is indeed the Block 52 model in-game. But good that you mention that because the JanHas 52’s currently look like they have a slimmer 50-style intake when there’s a little more geometric difference between the two in real life.

I have been hamering on some models including the F-35A (pit is build and mapped) and the HMIT helmet for the next F-16AM BAF. Currently I’m checking all LV5’s and updating where needed so the fps hit will be less when models are loaded. The intake fix is planned after a new BMS version is released.
-
@janhas Really cool news! Will be great to see the JH treatment on the F35 in BMS.
-
JanHas,
I just figured out a new feature of your F-16 models.
I wonder if you could add pilot ramp starting animation on your F-16 models. -
Hi
I just installed blk52 and blk42 skins. They look really great. What bothers me is that the jet with colorful bug (wasp or hornet) and with PW229 engine does not show up in the sim and in the opengllod while it seems to be available in Janhas gallery of the package. Similar in case of Blk52. Cannot use no-Have glass V Swamp Foxes jet just WA jets.
Am I doing something wrong or it’s for purpose?
Thanks,
Dan -
@danwolo I installed the v3 for the 42 model. I see every skin in game and in Mission Commander.

Then I am doing something wrong. Did you get 3 folders after extracting the data base with bat file? I am getting only Parents and Lod. Lod is empty. According to the instruction there also should be texture folder where I should place the BMP file. I created one but wonder why I am getting 2 folders instead od 3.
-
@kujo right on man, good catch. JanHas promised that it will be fixed in the next BMS update, so that’s good news.
-
@danwolo yes, but you have to make your own texture map with a bmp file in it with the correct highest dds number in the folder
-
@nurse Map name is : Texture

Hey, I have just got the BLK 40 pack for the 555th FS Vipers but they only seem to be appearing in the low vis grey scheme? I see no textures for the 2 tone grey for the 555th or the 510th?

@CPT-WHITE Version 4 has a zip file in it with the grey skin. (All_Skins_Backup.zip)
