Pilot model fo F-16

Ok guys, I updated the first post today. Now there’s a link there to a .lod file with removed torso, just replace the cockpit file with this instead of loaded.LOD if you don;t want torso in your game.
Cheers. -

Hi Harpoon! Glad to see you back!
You did not answered me about that: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?7091-Pilot-model-fo-F-16&p=129344&viewfull=1#post129344
Hi Harpoon !
As we know … unfortunately, there are problem with panel visibility with your leg mod!
As a compromise … could it be possible to have a model, just with the leg (without torso even if it looks great) … and slightly mode the leg (knee) to the centre in order to free a little more the lateral consoles…
?
IMO that could be a very good compromise …
Is it possible? … maybe a chance to put it in stock install by default… or having more ppl (non TIR users) using it! …

I have question on 13 &14
13.Choose ‘loaded.lod’ from the archive. <–—how to choose? in LE?
14. When the LE changes appearence you can close it down. <––what does it mean?
Can someone show me how to do ?
thank you. -

Hi.
I could move the knees a bit closer together, but i would have to make the legs thinner (which doesn’t look good - I tried that) and it still wouldn’t give enough room to see cmds mode switch or HMCS.
I tested a few possible solutions when i was making this and found out that you can’t have both realistic legs and full panel visibility.I have question on 13 &14

thank you.13. When you click on action>replace model a menu appears in which you choose the model to replace. That’s where you select the “loaded.lod”
14. You’ll know once you do the 13th step correctly -
how do i change the pages on the knees?
do i simlply just open the photoshop file, and cute and paste around the picture of the current paper and save? -
Like the work, hate LOD editor with a passion.
Anybody able to make an installer/uninstaller for this?
-
The problem with installer for mods like this (model change) is that it will probably screw up all your other model mods. And weights 200mb while the mod itself has <10mb. And it requires a separate install for every theatre.
Besides, the LE included in the file is quite stable and shouldn’t be a problem. Think of it as a former “dance”.@dthom:

A how-to-install tutorial on youtube would be nice for smart people like me.

Did you replace LOD #82 by mistake? The readme in BMS Pilot Model.7z refers to an old LOD number.
To find which LOD to replace in your install look at the cockpit Parent #2 , for my u3 install it is LOD# 7318.
After
Installation guide:
1. !!!Create a backup of files (not folders) in:<dir>\Falcon BMS\Data\Terrdata\objects!!!
2. Put 8018.dds and 8019.dds files in<dir>\BMS\Data\Terrdata\objects\KoreaObj</dir>
</dir>
Using LOD Editor
- Open Parent Record #2 (type “2” next to the “Normal” button and then click it)
- Click the “Edit Mode” button 3 times to change to “View Mode”
- Click View “1” to make sure you are changing the right model.
- Close the viewer
- Click the “Mode” button 3 times to change to “Export Mode”
- Export the original LOD 1 (#7318 ) so you can undo your change later if required.
- Click the “Mode” button 3 times to change to “Replace Mode”
- Click Replace “1” to replace LOD 1 (#7318 ) with loaded.lod
- Change to “View Mode” and click 1 to see the new (#7318 ) model
- Close LOD Editor and test in game.
Your Parent#2 LOD# might be different as it depends on the BMS version or theater you wish to change.
