The nose cone a little bit pointy, and It has some smoothness issue on it. And the another one , the intake seems a little small and distorted. But all in all looks very well

-

@repvez

I think it is the postprocessing of the screeshot making it look that way. I referenced blueprints and picked the best one I could find, not much more I can do for correct dimentions.

-

@luke777
yes you are right, my mistake, the pic was too dark in my monitor and I thought the intake only the white inner line and I didn’t see the out side grey element because it melt together with the fuselage. I magnified in PS and I see now the whole shape. <img src=“/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/android/1f44d.png?v=opoh9i0f0lo” alt=“” class=“not-responsive emoji emoji-android emoji–+1” />

Could I get some help with the “installation” of some of these? I’ve installed other skins but I can’t for the life of me figure out what I’m doing wrong.

Trying to get the F18C to work, but the result I get is this.

Obviously quite far off from the expected result and from your amazing screenshots.

What I’ve done so far is installing through JSGME. Made the necessary folders in the Mods folder, “Mods/F18C/Data/Add-On Balkans/Terrdata/objects/KoreaObj” and pasted the DDS files and a Parents folder under Terrdata/objects, and inside the Parents folder a folder named 1799 and pasted the LODs and parent DAT file.

If I’m not mistaken this is the (correct) procedure but I’m not getting the desired results.

Would also be helpful if you could tell me in what parent folder I should paste the wing model files.

Thanks a lot for the really nice models.

-

@unkindled
1) extract the DB
2) copy the lods and parent file in the parent folder 1799
3) re build the DB
4) copy skin files in KoreaObj
5) copy dat files in sim\acdata

-

@unkindled I could be wrong, but I believe this issue is that you don’t have the correct .dds for the burner effects. In the C package, this is 5280.dds, I would check to see if that’s the file being used in your case or if it’s pointing to another one.

-

@unkindled
wing model parent folder is 1462

-

@luke777 @parislord Thanks for the quick replies. Ι had misplaced the parents folder outside of the objects folder, but still no luck.

For the burner effects, yes I do have the 5280.dds file.
Also as soon as I put the 1462 folder the cockpit became that of the F-16 <img src=“/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/android/1f635.png?v=dsk3o53jm16” alt=“” class=“not-responsive emoji emoji-android emoji–dizzy_face” /> .

I must have somehow really messed up my 4.35 installation.

Ι didn’t try the more “direct” way of extracting the DB and replacing files out of fear of messing it up even more.

Anyway, again thank you for your help. Guess I’ll wait for 4.36 since it’s quite close and try with a fresh install of the game.

@unkindled

check 5280.dds copy to X:\Falcon BMS 4.35\Data\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj folder

use notepad software open 3dckpit.dat (X:\Falcon BMS 4.35\Data\Art\CkptArt\1799)
find this code and check Is it the same

// the LOD models to use.
cockpitmodel 1464; // the main 3d cockpit model
cockpitmodel2 1617;
cockpithudmodel 1620;
cockpitcanopymodel 577; // Canopy model
cockpitrttcanopymodel 1619; // Canopy model to render scratches and rain drops
cockpitwingsmodel 1462; // the 3d cockpit wings model
cockpitlegsmodel 1913;
-
Added link for my model of the F117 in first post, can’t test it in 4.36, that version of BMS does not work for me. If anyone tries it out can post any issue here.

@luke777
no pilot,no landing gear
-
It looks like a lower LOD, let me check
-
@kouzi re uploaded the package
-
test again,the problem remains unsolved…
-
@kouzi give some time, not home at the moment. Will check again
-
Problem may be in the PARENT.DAT, a comma in place of a dot.

That part looks good at least.
That’s Beethoven modeling, working without being able to check the result. -
@LorikEolmin
