I am having an odd problem. When I Launch BMS 4.36 from Alternative Launcher v2.1.0 I have BMS - Auto as the keyfile selected in game.
If I am making edits to the keyfile in AL it is actually editing BMS - Full but I still get BMS - Auto in BMS.
If I select BMS - Full in Setup - Controllers in BMS and Apply and OK, then Exit BMS and relaunch from AL it is back to BMS - Auto again.
@chihirobelmo any ideas here?

How to install Falcon BMS Alternative Launcher? Make a backup of the stock Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Bin\x86\Hub.exe before installing it. Download Falcon BMS Alternative Launcher, unzip the file and extract all of the included files to Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Bin\x86, overwrite Hub.exe. Next time you launch BMS, Falcon BMS Alternative Launcher will be launched instead of the stock launcher.
Installing the new launcher after the clean installation of BMS is the most secure way to use this app.
EDIT: I just have found Just after the fresh install of BMS it does not have registry information like current selected theater or logbook, so if someone is first to install BMS and want to install my app. He or she has to launch BMS via stock launcher once, then install the app.Are these instructions still legit? The download gives me a setup.msi file, there is no zip file to unzip.

AL is a stand alone application since v2.0.0.

@Razor161 Hi! I have the latest Falcon_BMS_Alternative_Launcher_v2.1.0_Setup.msi file but following the instructions on the first post of this thread. Are there newer instructions on how to install this?
-
@Atlas
The MSI will install AL in C:\Programs (x86)…
The is no need to replace the original BMS loader any more. Just launch AL after installation, set up your controllers and your good to go. -
@Razor161 Will it work from a different location? I prefer to install it on my games drive.
-
@Atlas
Sure. Just try it out. I think the installer should ask where you want to install it. -

What are your devices?
I have a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog “Throttle and Stick” and a Cougar Throttle connected via TUSBA TQS R2. I fly with the Warthog Stick and the Cougar Throttle. I don’t use anything on the warthog throttle for now, it is just connected if I want to fly the F18, but that is basically never.
-
@Pegasus82 hmmm I checked source code but It should save BMS-AUTO but I’ll test when I back home
-
@chihirobelmo previous versions saved to ‘BMS - FULL’.
This has now changed to ‘BMS - AUTO’?

Stock is POV U/D/L/R, with my Dx128 TARGET script running it puts out DX19/20/21/22…
-
@Icer Those DX are the DX for Thrustmaster TARGET software. I’m asking about the DX related to Alternative Launcher.

DX19/20/21/22… that’s what AL 2.1.0 show
Two questions:
Where does AL show this?
Also, are you running Target128 before you run AL? -
@jc1
I dont have a Target script running. For me this is shown as POV without any DX numbers.
