Can we make a pdf tutorial or better video tutorial , how all that nice and very helpfull staff can be used?
How to add theater map -> areas-> objects -> recording -> debrifing feature ……
-
Got some new questions after testing yesterday evening.
- I’ve added 2 pictures, 1 showing the 2D Map in BMS UI, 1 showing F4AWACS imagery. Shouldn’t I see hostiles in the marked area as well? In addition to this, yesterday evening, a friend flew lead of a 4-ship flight (1P + 3 AI) and I could only see him, not his wingmen. Is this normal?
Software running can be seen in task bar on screen 2, so should be clear if I’m missing something. Don’t mind the clutter on AWACS-screen. Still searching for a good background/object combination.

F4 AWACS: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/11459075/BMS/F4AWACS.jpg-
All enemies are “BANDITS”, without speed label, aircraft type, … Is info added automatically, once AI units or players identify them, or should I do that myself? If so, how?
-
Is there a way to lock the cursor to an aircraft, e.g. to provide accurate vectoring?
-
Can routes be retrieved from the mission file (CAM, TAC), or only Bulls Eye?

I’ve written everything I could think of in the online manual. If somebody wants to make a pdf or video it’s fine by me.

There is a chance that some improvements I made to speed up AISPY results in some missing plots. I’ll try to balance it for optimum results.
-
Refer to http://docs.sakgiok.gr/manuals:osc:reference:f4awacs:options#options_2 and http://docs.sakgiok.gr/manuals:osc:reference:f4awacs:clients on AI ID. Whatever is on Falcon memory will be transfered to F4AWACS.
-
Not currently. I thought about adding that but, in real GCI software, this option is there only for tracks, which is not that accurate.
-
Not currently.
Just to be clear, there is no interface between Falcon and AISPY to retrieve AI plots (like there is between Falcon and Validator). AI plots are retrieved by a method that is more a “hack”, brute force memory reading and trying to understand data. So, I consider AI plots inaccurate and just for reference.

I have been working on this program for several days. I have one question. Why am I seeing 2 symbols of a single ac?
-
Also about symbols Monster i think it is better to keep the O- symbol for AC in order to view the direction of the AC too…. the ^ or ( does not show the direction only the 'tail" …. Also for reference there is an old OSC 1.0 here: http://www.e-haf.org/f4awacs/OnLineSquadronCollection/OSC_v1.0b_User_Guide.pdf

How do you mean that it’s not there in real GCI software? Can’t speak about military software, but in my experience with civil ATC software that is possible through the QDM-tool, and it’s accurate to 1° in heading, and 1NM above 10NM // .1 NM below 10NM in range, iirc. Think I have a manual of the HMI on another computer, which I believe I can share with you, if you’re interested.
-
Well, we are testing and trying to do the best performance to operate it… but we have two questions to squeeze more the OSC:
1. Is possible for human ATC/AWACS to know wind direction and QNH/QNE directly from F4AWACS?
2. is possible to see ground troops to use F4AWACS same a JSTAR in future?Thank you for this GREAT program!!! A “must to have” if you want to feel the most real enviroment arround you

In which occasion? Are you talking about Real Players plots or AI? If it’s about AI, you get whatever it is in Falcon memory.

AI can’t have a direction because, firstly the position of the plot I get is not accurate (it’s relative to bullseye) and secondly because I cant say for sure in every picture update, which aircraft moved where, I only get a snapshot every time.

I was talking about military GCI software before. Anyway I can implement this later (only for Real Players plots of course).

1. Currently I can’t find a way to get these data out of Falcon.
2. I guess it would be possible, using the same method AISPY currently uses. -
Could we ask please the BMS team to help Monster a bit? maybe some minor adjustments to the code could help Monster big time…
This is a unique program and needs all the support it can get cause it ads to realism of a squadron big time…
Although I hate the countless tools for Falcon that should be implemented inside Falcon but anyway… that’s me…
I don’t hate the tools, I hate the plurality of them and each one has it’s logic (I know I’m getting old… lol) . If they where inside Falcon I believe many things would be better… even for programmers cause they would take advantage of the real deal… and not go around to solve their problems…

These pilots were real pilots.

About the waypoints and lines I’m sure Falcas can help more then enough and have them also inside… Falcas are u watching here?

-
Where they running validator?
Yeah, that is my next question. Maybe a screenshot of the tracks with labels on and with Clients window in view?
-
Hi Monster,m very good work, but let me ask one question, may be stupid question. How can we set graphically the BE? I know that there is a windows for that purpose, but there are not circles and radial. Is there any chance to get it?
Second question; is it possible to use F4AWACS in one campaign (human vs human or against the AI?)?
Thank and congratulation for your hard work -
Manual PDF created from Web of Monster.

@tdr: There is no graphical representation of bullseye the way you mean it, just some small circles to let you now where the point is. The circles and lines you have in mind, is only a graphical aid to get a bearing and range from e.g. a printed map, where there is no other way to get a bearing and distance from the bullseye.
Modern systems don’t have this function (not even as backup) because they will never need it. They have the cursor to get all the bearing and distances they need. There used to be a plastic “overlay” that you put on the screen on older systems, where malfunctions were often, but nowadays, it’s not needed anymore.
for the second question, you can use it at a campaign the same way you use it at a TE.

Please … stick it!

Yes, I’ve thought about it too, but, currently I don’t know a positive way to get weather data. Maybe AISPY, while scanning the memory area to get AI data can look for weather data as well, but I can’t say for sure if this data will be accurate.
Hi, Monster
I’ve been testing with FalconGauges4.0 and I can see the wind through the FalconGauges4.0 DED.
Do not know how these busy :!:, but I think with the ASPY could read that value and incorporate it into F4Awacs :p. The only thing that would have to choose would be the pilot to get that data . Well. As I said these are not as busy and podible sies what you commented.:!:
Greetings and thanks for the F4Awacs.P.S. And by ordering yar. You could see the battalions incorporate ground.
