For me, this would be the ultimate theater for BMS :
What do you think ?
Radium
WHOA! I think I just had a BMS-gasm!
Flying missions out of Taiwan would be kinda cool.
-
@VDK Agreed. Would be fun to fly vs ghosts.
But … heck … 128 are still not MP possible… ? -
@white_fang ok… let’s stick with the 64x basic!
-
@white_fang 2-3 weeks for that…
Maybe the BMSOFM guys give us some hope
-
@VDK Hello,
It’s not an area I feel really interested for simulation, as it would imply mostly a NATO vs WAPA cold war ear scenario, so mostly a F-15/Su-27/F-16/Mig-29/A-10/Su-25 theater. Nothing super original, and super close in the end than Balkan theater, I believe.
Also, this regions are rather flat.
Cheers !

@Radium
Hmmm… while this northern EU is kinda flat., minus fjords if you can find any in this southern part of Scandinavia.
But… Swiss, France, Austria , Germany, N. Italy, are hardly flat mate. … see, the Alps (~4km peak) - also known for Swiss mach-loopEE , is flat all over Ukraine… till Urals … but is a looong flight there… and … maybe not quite reachable , eheh … you know…but, in the end you wouldn’t really fly there as all action is … well … where flat is
-
@white_fang Hello,
I know Europe very much, because it’s the place I currently live in
On this map, there is no Alps, no Switzerland, and almost no Austria and no Northern Italy.
If the map is rather accurate, here we are :
As you see, there is no Alps or anything like that.
This theater mostly concentrates on Germany, with a bit of France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Denmark. Sweden is also a little there.
In term of land, Les Vosges mountain will not be on the theater, and it will be the same for German Alpas. Good thing is that we would have Czech mountains with Ores mountains and Sudeten. Sweden would also be interesting, but the area is very limited, with Malmö Fjords and the Danish/Swedish islands are really nice to see.
That being said, it’s still a small part of the map.
Among all, I do not meant any critics about the great work that will be done by a highly trained and motivated team. It will be a nice addition to our world.
I just expressed a very personal point of view.
Best regards,
Radium

@Radium Meh… no any problems mate. Your point of view is totally correct regarding “the map” … and all that part, really it is flat…
I was just saying that those Eu countries I mentioned are not quite flat, but, as you stated none of these areas are in boundaries of theater… sadly, yes.
Theater map was probably some derivative of “Red Storm Rising” , as that action took place somewhat in these parts.Cheers

Just for a heads-up.

Hello,
very interesting… Ince I will have livery info, I will make them.
Cheers,
Radium
-
@Radium It’s not the first time this delivery has been announced (same for delivery to Egypt that never actually occurred) So let’s wait for an image of a Su-35 wearing IRIAF roundels on an Iranian AB…
-
@TOPOLO That’s totally right ! I will not make an iranese livery before I see a Su-35S with IRIAF roundels.
And not like Qaher 313 !

@Radium: "…Su-35 Flanker E for Iran
Following the Scramble Magazine news item of 5 January 2022, it has now been confirmed by the Iranian minister of Defence that Iran will indeed receive the Su-35SE Flanker-E.
The original order of 24 Su-35SE for the al-Quwwat al-Jawwiya Il Misriya (EAF, Egyptian Air Force) will now be diverted to the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF). The exact number of aircraft that is going to be delivered is not officially confirmed but looking at the state of the IRIAF and the vastness of the country to defend, it needs far more than 24 new fighter aircraft to really bolster the capabilities.
The question of training also remains unanswered. Training Iranian Su-35SE pilots is apparently already taking place in Russia but for future crews, the IRIAF needs to be able to train their own crews. Scramble Magazine assesses that a follow-on order for advanced training aircraft will be announced on short notice."
There was a picture, but you couldn’t see the roundels… : P
-
@parislord hi ! Still for now, no confirmation of the deal…
This picture was an ex-future Egyptian Su-35…

Radium
Any plans to do the Su-30M2 and Su-30MK2 as well?
-
-
@Radium
Oh okay, hope to see the M2 and MK2 too then! What about the Su-34? Maybe you can consider doing a semi-fictional Egyptian Su-35S skin as well? -
Hello everyone,
Let’s wake up a bit this thread. As many of you saw, I started a cockpit for IAI Lavi, but as you can guess, it’s extremely long to make a cockpit (probably one full year), and I don’t want one full year without any new release.
So, because it was still a bit missing in our database, I decided to start the conversion of my T-10 series (yeah, I just tried to find a name for my whole work, and as I just hate NATO reporting names… here we go with the real name of the program).
Nevertheless, don’t take me wrong : I am absolutely not pro-Russia ! I am just neutral and like to call things by their real names.
So, Here was the difficuly : I started Su-33, which was already a modified Sukhoi Su-27. Then, I did the Sukhoi Su-35 which was itself an heavily modified Su-27.
Nevertheless, Sukhoi Su-33 geometry was globally closer to Su-27, even if a huge number of modifications were needed, then, here I am.
Don’t take me wrong : this model is not just a skin : it’s a whole revamped model, with a lot of additions (or removal), reworked uvw, new post processing for textures, corrected AFM and OFM files, everything.
If you feel that some perspectives are strange, it’s because it’s an orthographic view.
I will then plan to make several liveries :
- Soviet VVS green nose light blue camo Sukhoi Su-27 - 1990
- Russia VVS white nose blue camo Sukhoi Su-27P - 1995
- Russia VVS late three colors camo Su-27SM - 2010
- Ukraine PSZS Su-27 splinter camo Su-27S
- Chinese PLAAF license built Shenyang J-11 - 1999
Stay tuned !

@Radium your Su-27 model looks FLAWLESS!
