@luke777 Doesn’t really matter what it looks like in the skin file, adjust it for what it looks like in BMS.
-
the model looks great.
but the canopy is not one single bubble. it’s two bubbles fused side-by-side. -

Can’t do that or some of the details on the skin will fade to much. This is as much as I am willing to go.
-
@ccc1tw Not sure what you mean
-
please check this model… you can rotate and zoom to view.

@ccc1tw the model seems a bit too exaggerated compared to reference pictures, will not modify anymore the model at this point though too many things can go wrong.
-
Luke, if you send me the model, I will do it quickly. Look :
I guess I can do it in one hour.
Radium
-
@Radium I’ll be home in a few days. Will do it then.

I don’t understand what you mean?
I presume you’re using different layers for the details, are they just on adjustment layers etc? You should be able to adjust the background base skin colour without effecting details too much.
-
@SOBO-87 the model looks good under the right lighting condition. No changes will be made to the skin file. The picture you posted is overexposed and does not provide good reference.
-
@luke777 do the right lighting conditions exist in BMS?
-
@SOBO-87 asking the wrong person
-
@luke777 how so? You’re the only one with the model and skin, you’re the only one who can answer that question. I’m asking if there is a situation where the skin looks lighter in BMS, then I’d like to see it.
If what you mean is “it looks fine in 3DS Max, but not in BMS.” Then I’d ask why aren’t you tuning for the final result and ignoring what it looks like in other software. I’ve had to do this a lot over the years and it’s nothing unusual, depending on the age of the engine and what lighting/material tech it uses.
If what you’ve shown is how it looks in all cases in BMS. Then imho it’s still quite a lot darker than something realistic, but hey I’m only trying to improve your project. You do what you want.
-
My answer was not related to the model but BMS in general, for the model I say it again, it look fine to me in game. Screen shots may not be accurate because of reshading

BMS lighting isn’t perfect, no, also Tone mapping is missing/wrong so colors and shades are generally darker than they should be.
But regardless of that, in this case the A-6 is just too dark indeed. Should probably lighten up, a lot.
-
I will try to make it lighter, problem is balancing the various effects which may make the skin a bit darker again. No promises it will come out to everyone’s liking. I rather keep the effects than a perfect match on the color. I will look into the canopy discrepancy as well so no one will have to endure a sh!tfit.
-
Lighter color. No more than this, don’t ask.

You wanted cleavage, playboy is a better option, anyway you have tits

@luke777
Really nice Luke -
