Solved 4.37 SU-27 Radar type vs. ECM program
-
Version
4.37.0 (x64)Build
322Detailed Description
ECM program two is running against SU-27.Pictures
NoneExample files
NoneCrash logs
NoneReproducibility Procedure
- Fly against SU-27
- Consent ECM
- Look at ECM panel >> Program two is running.
Expected Behavior
According to the threat guide and the TacRefDB the SU-27’s radar is ‘NIIP N001’ which is an X-Band radar. Therefore we would have expected ECM program four running against SU-27 (TO BMS 1F-16CM/AM-34-1-1: 2.8.1/2.8.3). -
Will be fixed in U1
-
If you look in the DB and corresponding radar in Sim/ Radar
you will see that the SU27 is using the “Generic” Radar which band is E
So the ECM is correct, the Database is not

Reproducibility Procedure
- …
- Are you using XMIT 1, 2 or 3?
- Which one of the programs are you select? Program two is running because you click on it?
-
@VDK
I had all programs activated (buttons 1-5 pushed in).
I had it in XMT 1 and 2 and the only program, that was running, was no 2. This was today confirmed by my squadron mates. -
@Razor161 okay… despite the program number running, the Su-27 is being jammed?
-
@VDK It was the only threat in the air. So I would assume that.
-
@Mav-jp
We already suspected that ECM is correct and DB is wrong.
However we were not able to spot the error. We checked the SU-27 in the Falcon BMS Editor and found that it has a ‘N001 Myech’ Radar (64). But we were not smart enough to understand that this results in radar type ‘Generic’. -
Will be fixed in U1

Put one of your friends to fly the Su-27 and repeat the process. Ask him if he is being jammed. See if it matches with Threat guide. (burn through, and so on…)

@VDK Read other answers here. The issue is confirmed and going to be fixed in U1. We’ll test other stuff instead.
