The Map Switch on the Avionics Panel
-
During my recent educational adventure of updating my historical keybindings to the current 4.37.2 keyfile list, I discovered that the Map Switch doesn’t seem to be mouse cursor aware in the 3D pit, and the callback for that switch, although in the keyfile, doesn’t operate that switch either. A text search through ALL of the PDF Manuals didn’t find anything about this either. The only diagram I found of the avionics panel was in fact not the same as the panel shown on the F16C-Blk 40 pit. It didn’t show the switch at all.
Can anyone enlighten me on the ‘Map Switch’ located on the Avionics Panel in this current version?

The map switch is not implemented.

@TeeSquare hope in next BMS 4.38 version to be included.

It would be nice if there was something/anything in the documentation that, despite existing graphically on the cockpit’s Avionics Panel and has its own keybinding and listed on the Keyboard PDF as well, it’s not implemented. Perhaps I just couldn’t find it in any of the manuals despite searching…

If its not implemented than its not documented.

@SoBad the BMS Cockpit Interaction Guide pdf has pictures of the entire cockpit and has “N/I” printed next to switches that aren’t implemented.

iirc, maps is actually a more legacy feature and was phased out on later blocks
