How to use "Virtual Desktop" with Pico 4 when not able to use WiFi?

Hi there,
Have been using the Pico 4 successfully since a few months now, but as my router is too far, I’m obliged to do this wired. Therefore I use “Streaming Assistant” and the Oculus Quest 2 link cable to my pc . However, I never got the “+4K resolution” mentioned in the Pico 4 properties.
After a little research I found out Wireless “Virtual Assistant” should give better results. But as I’m having the problem mentioned above, wireless is not an option. Luckily, there exists a way to use VD wired, by using an USB C Gigabit ethernet USB 3.0 adapter, which is then connected to a LAN cable (Cat 6). Haven’t yet figured out tough where this LAN cable is put next, “Into the router” but as that’s on another floor in my house, that doesn’t seem practical.
In the meantime I have already ordered the parts I need. I also looked at “Virtual Desktop”. Now it gets confusing. I need a ““wired VD”, but Pico 4 is only Wireless VD”. Can someone guide me to which VD I need?

Hi Doc
As you can imagine, and if WIFI is not an option, you can use a PLC to have a network through the electrical wiring:
I have it like this. I have a USB-3 cable that I connect to a modem of this type:
https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B09MQDWP6H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And this I connect to the PLC, so it’s as if I have the Pico 4’s connected to the network. And that’s it. When you go into Virtual Desktop, you have the connection established.
Note that the VD for the Pico 4 doesn’t have a wired version, it’s the wireless version, but it works perfectly well if you connect it like this.
I was never able to make the direct connection of the Pico 4 to the USB-C port of the PC work. I tried several ways, but in the end I didn’t succeed, but this way it works perfectly.
I hope I have helped you.

You need to connect network cable on one side and connect it to the Pico4 on the other side (USB-C). You can also connect a charging cable in the middle so the Pico will be charged as well. Working great here (I ordered one to confirm its working and then ordered a second one just for having a backup for any case).

The last version of Streaming assistant in high, sharp bar at 100, 150mb/s and any usb 3.0 wire was the best and stable image with my pico 4. Also, on headset you must set on battery saver because it’s increased the resolution on the center of image

Check this reddit post with pictures on what to connect to what & where for a wired ethernet setup for virtual desktop: https://www.reddit.com/r/PicoXR/comments/16pn91g/pico4_simracing_simulation_or_long_time_playing/ -
@SebastianR what version is that? Cause I don’t see any available updates and the image in the headset is far less good then the monitor version, even when all SA settings are at the highest.

Thx m8. I already have a PLC and ordered just that same adaptor (also a Cat 6 LAN cable). I also tend to use my Oculus Quest 2 cable as a charging cable.
But with this setup, do you have the +4K resolution as mentioned in the Pico 4 properties?
