Insurgency vehicles and factions based warfare.

Pickup trucks, cars, fuel trucks, box trucks. Speed boats. Remote camps. Etc… Adding these and the road clutter of civilian vehicles could add a lot of challenge to theaters and missions. The non state groups are a big influence in the world of global conflicts and totally unexplored in flight sims. These groups could push over borders in areas of conflict and be added on maps just like national armies. It would add a lot to game. Factions could compete within the countries and added to maps as an under layer of the nation state to give political disunity and struggles for natural resources on maps. We could direct these and see their areas of control just like we can with national forces. Cartels, mercenaries, political parties etc… Air support for cas missions to hunt and contain them would provide a lot of action and could bring in a lot of variety and challenge. Do we have any vehicles like this? Would it be hard to add layers to these maps?

@Additional-Cats I understand what you are talking about, but remember the entry level of hardware to run BMS, These movements will kill my PC and Laptop i think. And what about the entry level in 4.38?

The engine of Falcon 4.0 was designed to model a large scale open, conventional war and not a COIN environment. If you wish to have such kind warfare I recommend DCS. I also recommend to add the long “nothing happens” time period for the scenarios… XD

To start with, I’ve already thought (and proposed) to take in account some the collateral damages protected by the Geneva Convention (Medical facilities/Cultural property/Temples/Schools …) triggering a dereliction of duty or ruining the score in case of mistake or misconduct. (Enable/disable in campaign parameters).
It is not the same than you are describing, but would be a start considering external factors other than blue on blue situations.

@Dee-Jay +1 on that, also it’ d be great if excessive collateral damage could affect campaign progress itself. few years Maybe it could some allies on Blue side may withdraw their support (I don’t think countries on Red side do give a damn about it ), increased chance captured cities turn opposite again because of some revolt/insurgency, such event also could trigger spawning light infantry units at no cost for opfor side.

@Killroy I understand your thought … but technology evolve and BMS too. Visual renders it’s important for immersion (a lot of things too). You will must udapte your computer one day, I’m sorry to say that if you think you shouldn’t.
Maybe not for 4.38 but one day details will be too high for Pc we have now .
I recommend you to invest in a desktop computer (not laptop) in order to update your computer over the years (is what gamers population do)Have good flight in BMS

@Additional-Cats IMHO, this is… such a small tactical level for a World War III simulator. The falcon’s DC is heavily based on the TAC Thunder, which was designed to simulate the 1980-1990 Cold War conflict in the German theater, or later Desert Storm.
Battalions and brigades are too large for small insurgent units.
