What is the strategy to place roads and rivers within those areas as large photorealistic?

Hi Joe, I have been meaning to ask, ( I am trying to work it out by carefully cataloguing all the tiles in POH and the other theaters) but how many tiles do you need for a set of road tiles ? I think the approach you have taken, with randomly repeating photorealistic tiles is very good. Would you be at liberty to say how you tile the theater? must it be all done by hand this method? ( I cant think of an automated method to achieve the result you have…)
Fighting falcon, it looks great, how far along are you? And how are you getting around the tile cap issue? i guess you can make all mountains and plans generic, just save specific areas for actual photoreal…but its a big theater…! cant wait to see…

photorealistic blocks 2x2
3x3 and 4x4 tiles. What is the size of

This is , of course, fantastic. And the big question is, when!!! So well done guys, I really hope the scale of this is across the whole theatre.
Does it not make you think though, what could be achieved, if all the knowledge and experience was shared and a few more people got involved? I know there are nationality groups and language barriers etc, but really, we have here almost all the parts in place to radically change the terrain and landscape of Falcon, in all theaters……
With this huge step forward in the terrain, we really also need the campaign and objectives to be reworked as well. It’s a shame that the seeming only person to do this is taking a back seat due to RL. Is there no one else out there who has the knowledge to do this ? bear in mind at the moment, Korea is the only theater with a proper working campaign. The eye candy is great, really great…but if we cant fight on it, its a real shame.
Hopefully, this will inspire some people. I am happy to help if someone will show me how…

I echo what markturner said above, along with the others. The ‘sweet spot’ of tile design, sizes, method, etc. has been found and is amazing. I hope the BMS team is following this post and looked at the pics on the previous page.
