I really donāt understand why this capital mod is not included in the releaseā¦ and why there is so little interest comapred with its importance. It effectively doubles the F-16 version to fly. to me is a huge showstopper having the wrong hud in the blk 40ā¦
ā¦!
Obviously, you have no idea about what a āshowstopperā is.

And I cannot add it any way with falcon LEā¦Not all block 40 F-16 have the wide angle Hud, and you even have block 52+ F-16ās lie the one of sngapour with a wide angle Hud.

Harpoon, can you intagrate your pit into my MOD? I wish offer this nice upgrade, especially because in my MOD in late '80s and early '90s the main F-16 variant is Block. 40/42

Whatās the difference between the old 40/42 hud and this one? Iām sorry, but I donāt usually use the 40/42, mostly just the 52.

Heads up - just a quick note for Eyefinity or Surround users running three monitors.
The cockpit side views FOV for this mod have not been updated, itās still set to 50.0 so you wonāt be able to see the side panels. Youāll have to update the FOV manually, as we used to do.
Once the mod is installed, go to */Data/Art/ckptart/ and go to all the Block 40/42ās, open the 3dckpit.dat (I use Notepad++), find viewlimit_pitch_down and set it to 75.0.

And you also see that in fact blk 40/42 HUD frame is differently to blk 50/52 HUD frame.

Correct, there was ājustā one cockpit (HUD) model for all blocks.
Now you can additionally get the modified Blk 40/42 HUD.

its a neat HUD and all, it just seems like its missing somethingā¦

You can do it if you know LE.
You need to open itās model DB, make 5 new parents: 3120, 3121, 3122, 3123 and 3124, write all settings just like the standard parents, then add 5 new LODs, the ones within the manual installation archive, apply those lods to the parent records mentioned above and then add 4 new textures to DB (also from the archive).
After that itās good to go.Someone knows how to create new parents with LE?
I didnt found anything about this in the LE manual. -
