Frame rates in video games refer to the speed at which the image is refreshed (typically in frames per second, or FPS). Many underlying processes, such as collision detection and network processing, run at different or inconsistent frequencies or in different physical components of a computer. FPS affect the experience in two ways: low FPS does not give the illusion of motion effectively and affects the user’s capacity to interact with the game, while FPS that vary substantially from one second to the next depending on computational load produce uneven, “choppy” movement or animation. Many games lock their frame rate at lower but more sustainable levels to give consistently smooth motion.
A culture of competition has arisen among game enthusiasts with regard to frame rates, with players striving to obtain the highest FPS possible, due to their utility in demonstrating a system’s power and efficiency. Indeed, many benchmarks (such as 3DMark) released by the marketing departments of hardware manufacturers and published in hardware reviews focus on the FPS measurement. Even though the typical LCD monitors of today are locked at 60 Hz, making extremely high frame rates impossible to see in realtime, playthroughs of game “timedemos” at hundreds or thousands of FPS for benchmarking purposes are still common.

So your entire argument consists of copying and pasting 2 paragraphs from wikipedia, without even referencing what you’ve just pasted or commenting in any way?

yes, is in the text on wikipedia something wrong ?
this is free country, and BMS is free game on my own PC
you go play vanilla BMS, and my choice is to play BMS with Tom Catz stuff, even with -10 fps teoretically in reality it is <5 fps max.)With the Tom Catz stuff & textures the BMS looks great !

Tom, if I repleace one of the carrier in DB to yours, what will happen of deck operation? Does you model support deck operations? I ask because of campaigns, I do not wish to sacrifice deck operation just get a “bit” eye candy.
-
can this still be downloaded? Link isnt working for me…
-
anyone have a link for this? really would like to get my hands on this carrier…
-
The carrier is not functional.
-
Hi Molni,
Could you elaborate a bit more? What is not functional? Can it be fixed?
I wanted to install the carrier, but if carrier ops are not supported then its a no go!
Thanks,
Pepe

Catapult is not working well. 611-Eagle integrated into my DB for testing. From 10+ attempt I was able to attach myself only once to catapult. In a 4 ship flight one aircraft from second element always made a right turn before the CAT and simply fell into water.

Rgr that. Thanks.
Is this something that can be fixed? Anybody knows?

Hi guys, Is anyone able to add new parents for the ships and make it work?
I’ve tried this multiple times tonight for the CG-47 Ticonderoga, but every time I try to launch to 3d it crashes the game unfortunately.
The reason I’m trying to create a new parent for each ship is because, many of them (Parents) are shared between each other and I’m trying to add separate parents for each of the new ship models released.
Replacing ship models work but again that’s not what I am trying to do. So what I am basically wondering is, if this is a bug or something? I get a Node error after appending a new parent, lod(s), texture etc…
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I’ve done this process tonnes of times with other vehicles but with ships it does not seem to work or I’m doing something horribly wrong.
Regards,
Mystic
