I have a little issue with the HUD projection mod.
E.g. at ramp start I can read only the half of “no radar” on the top of green circle (vertical).
I am having FOV = 60 and using TrackIR4. Recenter doesn’t change the issue. Only way is to sit direct in front of my monitor (10 cm) to see the whole sentence.Over all:

This is a shot in the dark but I had this problem once. Sovremeny and FFG-7 Perry have the same Parent #. LOD view shows Sov
in both locations, FFG and Sov. I created a new parent # for FFG and I think that solved the problem. You’ll have to go through the whole procedure to change FFG adding LOD’s and textures. Hope I’m right but I can’t guarantee it. -

I will not include the FFG7 in the next release till I work that issue out. I will be re-releasing an objects folder that will be good to use on ALL machines. I have had a lot of requests for the folder to NOT include the trees mod, so there will be two options. I’m making changes now to make the folder “lighter” (for lack of a better word). I will re-release after some more testing. Should be ready in 2 to 3 hours (falcon time!!).

Understood. Actually this is the point of this mod. In the real F-16 you cannot see information on the HUD outside of the projection screen area. I know this, no problem.
But <g>I am _never be able to to see the complete sentence “No radar”, or I sit in a distance of 10 cm to the monitor. Also the ARM-circle: It is not possible to become the whole and full circle in the HUD.
Normally I have FOV = 60 but yesterday I even tried 65…but no change.
Today I will have another try with changes in TrackIR, because Y-achse is normally disabled (personally) and I will give it try with Y-achse enabled.It is no “big thing”, but it would be cool if everything works fine.
Still one thing BTW: It is *so great with those mods (I like it very much). After the very first “WOW”-feeling by the first flights with BMS, it came again!
Yesterday I had a 3 hour flight and it was <do one=“” know?=“”>“so la la” but as I landed with 2 two remaining AI-wingman…there were two trucks and personnal. Cool!Also the sound is IMO amazing. Now I can really *hear if I change the thrust…even a _very little.

Okay. I will play with the FOV settings to see if I there might be some settings to help you with this. If not I will get you a fix to uninstall the HUD mod.

Update:
Making some changes and testing. I need to change some F-16 skins for accuracy. USAF has made some paint changes on a lot of their blk 30/32’s and 40/42’s they don’t look so worn and dirty now. In addition recent photos show that they have removed the running horse behind the canopy on the OSAN jets: Might have to use more Jan Has skins as his skins reflects this accurately. I will keep the Horus skins on the block 50’s because it gives them the Have Glass look that block 50’s are known for.
Coordination with the standard Korean Camps, i.e. When you select a squadron in a standard camp the correct skin appears automatically.
Removing any models that are related to the errors that you guys are experiencing.
Making the folder “lighter” for lower end machines. For lower end machines I will not include certain models that are not really visible close-up to see any difference, after all it’s all about the experience in the pit!!Testing:
Ensuring that all models will appear in 3D accurately and will not cause any issues.
Checking FPS hits, so that lower end machines have a version for download and can enjoy the enhancements to their flights as well.It’s a lot of work, but will be ready shortly.

I downloaded 3993.dds and 8005.dds and copied them into the object-folder and and as far as could recognized…all is well.

Okay, I found the issue with the last modded folder. When installing the model/skin for the OSAII boat, I noticed that the tex sets are referencing the block 40 model. By changing the model of the OSA II and installing the skins for it, I changed the data for the F-16 block 40 model. I think the underlying issue was the version of LOD editor that I was using.

Rthorflech, is there a possibly that yuo can include Tom’s ships, IE the carrier etc, in the objects folder download?
Also, perhaps we could create and F4 patch installer that allows users to install/uninstall your custom mod folders?

Great idea. I do not know how to create F4 patch installers however. Tom’s ships are included in the modded folder as well. There is an issue I’m having when adding the OSA II boat however. I am working on this.

U can’t use F4Patch for 3d models.
Best and only u can do is change the skins. Otherwise u must have the current modded folder with F4Patch and be able to unapply… but same is as if u keep first a backup… and copy paste replace.I just putted the OSAII I don’t have any problems with it…
In case u use the replace method for the models I would suggest to u to start from scratch and append first as new records and then apply the new models and give the wanted values… many models in the 3d database use the same models… so if u change some it will display in many more… So if u want to just add the new models and not affect the rest (since u r not sure how many times is it used and where) don’t go with the replace method…I know it’s a killer but it’s the only way.
