Su flight model please

Some crude video footage

wow great …
Looks a bit slow more like a snail F-22 then a fast SU-30 but for sure it’s very impressive…
Also to add here: PLEASE 3d Magicians look at the miracle here and do a pit for this wonder…
Back to Subject… As VTOL is implemented couldn’t this be added to SU’s with thrust vectoring or I’m talking bullshit here?
-
I dont think VTOL and SU go together but its got grunt and plenty of lift for short takeoff.
EG the navel Su-33.
It comes into its own at altitude, low its a bit slow.

@Tom:
Great news! Hope my 3D model will help a bit….

Shadow, does the BMS database include the carrier based Su-30Sm fighters? If so, does your AFM change thier flight performance?
The Su-30SM is not a carrier-based fighter, unless something new has happened that I do not know about. The 'SM is a Russian version of the Su-30MKI. Therefore, should the flight model development reach a state where you can accurately simulate the MKI, you ought to be able to simulate its Russian counterpart as well.
The only navalized Russian two-seater I know of is this somewhat odd bird:
…The Su-33KUB.
For the Chinese Su-30MKK and MKK2, you’d probably have an easier time making flight performance more realistic. Those fighters do not have canards, and I think they only have the Al-31F, which is not a thrust-vectoring engine. Thus, dynamics ought to be easier to compute.
Unfortunately, the best resource I have available at this time is Wikipedia for initial assessments on airframe capabilities. I’m not really sure if the MKK has any advantages at all over the MKI/SM. The MKK page seems to indicate some airframe strengthening, and I’m not sure this applies to all members of the upgraded members of the Su-30 family.

Bummer… would have been cool to read in what specific regimes the Flanker dominates. In Russia plane fly you.

yes, thrust vectoring is implemented in BMS…however, without the flight laws ruling the thrust vectoring…nothing can be done

imho the SU27 family is the most magnificent aircraft ever created….simple, pure, efficient, beautiful

This is where there should a “Tagnight” post.
****** FLY IT NOW**********
Im not a coder but if we just but BMS & DCS togerthe. Like WOWReread my original Post NOW.
I can’t do it as well as “Skyman” God bless his soul at his new home.
We miss you……
I forgot the 38 utube links…later

If any one has the time, passion & desire to help out here ?
I need some one with the required expertise for the "inertia/CG " parameter.
Thanks……Shad

Allmost two years now……
A tagnight link … https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?8453-Su-flight-model-please&p=104724&viewfull=1#post104724

for the benfit of many vPilots you two must fall in love with each other ad hoc! (I command)
(excuse my tagnight answer)
and: I mean it!

I see almost all the SU-27 threads gone/removed. Except Nizmo’s skin thread. https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?16323-SU-27-Skin
I seem to out of the loop again, am I to consider eagle’s Su-27 model as a taboo subject ?
Can I not use it as a learning tool to continue my interest in OFM/AFM development?
After two years of continued interest in understanding the cy-27 evolution and its weapons systems am I out on a limb with nowhere to go?

Need some help with the relationship between “hardpoint#Grp”, “Rack#” & “Rackgroup #”
Solved most issues but I don’t have complete understand here as the are still things that don’t seem to conform. I get to a point where I think I have it & then I lose it.
If any one who knows this well has some time. Thanks
-
What do you want to do exactly? Because in BMS4 currently two way of HP usage available. Some AC has the old type some AC has the new type.
-
Its not as much “what I want do do” its more like “What is left to fix” This is primarily for the SU-27/30 family.
AA-10A/B incorrectly use the same Rackgroup as do the AA-10C/D
So AA-10A/C should be set to 51 While AA-10B/D is assigned to use 50. Th B & D being IR and using a extended Pylon (CT2824) for ignition off the rail. (so I imagine )Wing tip by default uses “hardpoint#Grp” 53 which adds a pylon to the loaded item weather it be AA-8/11 or Sorbtsiya.
So I use a "hardpoint# Grp changed to 1 with a change to the weapons “Hardgroup” setting. There are problems with other “hardpoint#Grp” & “Rackgroup”
So I have some idea but I’m still not clear how a loaded weapon knows which “Rack#” to use where there are more then 1 Rack in the Rackgroup. ?
