Falcon BMS KneeBoard UPdater

I made a central dds file to edit at a central place. ia Korea
Then i made mklinks in other theaters that refer to that hardlinkhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753194(v=ws.10).aspx

Will this mod auto change the knee pad for all theater MODs? Specially the airbases page (navigation volume) with all frequencies etc. I’m trying to install the legsonly.lod MOD but can’t seem to find the installer (if there is one).
Anyway, I think the kneeboard updater mod is a nice mod. I certainly would use it.
Best Regards

Quick question. Since I’m assuming this copies over the 8019.dds does that mean if I don’t use the WDP and the Kneeboard Updater before every mission, then the in-cockpit kneeboard will display the last kneeboard used? If true, it would be nice to add the ability for the user to display their “default” 8019.dds if they are unable to use the WDP prior to a mission.
If this functionality is already in there I apologize as I have not yet used the Kneeboard Updater program.
Great idea BTW!

Hi Morphine,
Yes if you don’t change the dds before every mission, you’ll have the kneeboard displaying the last datacard. If you want a default datacard showing in the pit you have to exchange it using the KB updater. WDP is not required to run since both programs work independently.
btw, thanks for your warthog profile! Works great

Hey juba,
Can KB updater be accessed via command line? If so, it would be fairly easy to create some BMS start-up scripts. For example, setting default datacards for different theaters (pretty much what Morphine aims for). Just some simple scripts feeding KB updater with the default kneeboard data and parameters, and finally launch BMS?
Your tool is already great - it really is! But having this kind of interface would greatly increase convenience.
Thanks!

What more can I say???
The tool saves the dds file in the Korea folder. U search for it and excpect it to show up in Aegean theater which u have active… But the file exists in the Korea folder. How can this happen???
U must manually copy paste the dds file from the Korea folder to the Aegean folder. The file is 8019.dds
Folders are:
C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\Terrdata\objects\KoreaObj
C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\Add-On Aegean\Terrdata\objects\KoreaObjGot it now?

YES I GOT IT……

*Feature request then for developer the kneemap updater to save automaticaly the dds into the correct Selected theater folder -> Selected Theater e.g X-> Add-on X -? Objects -> DDS
WDP <-> KBUand a pdf to img feature!!
Nice tool JUDA keep update us.

When I use KUD I always get the right datacard for the flight but the datacard map never appears. Do I miss something in the procedure?
-
Check if the map JPEG is present in the datacard directory - the directory where WDP exports the datacard images to. If not, you could try installing a newer version of WDP. Prior to WDP version 3.5.1, I couldn’t export map images either. This might be your problem too.

Gentlemen do we have any updated version from kneeboard update? last was ver 1.1

What is the purpose of the 8019.psd file in the archive ? I`m guessing that pilot.lod and onlylegs.lod are the 2 parts that make up the loaded.lol ? Thanks

That’s gotta be the Photoshop Document.

I still can’t get this to work and I can’t understand why.
I’ve installed (or already had installed) all the prerequisite software. As soon as I start the Updater I get this error message:
If I click on Continue and go to Options>Configuration I can enter the WDP setup file and the Falcon BMS directory, but the DataCards directory doesn’t populate and can’t be manually entered either:
When I click on Submit I get the same error message. The same thing happens when I click on WDP and then Refresh.
Can anyone suggest a cause & solution to this please?

I love this utility but just wish it had option to publish to a specific theater (select output folder).
You can make shortcuts to your default Korea KoreaObj folder and you other theaters, and run this tool then drag and drop from default KTO to whatever theater you want.
But I prefer just dragging the texture into Paint.net and drag and drop the data card picture into Paint and save as DDS into my theater KoreObj folder because I can customize (which can be done easily without this utility since Paint.net opens DDS files).
