Cougar mfds

I have a second monitor but i use it for charts and planning mainly, and it wouldn’t fit between my legs. I intend to create a semi friendly pit with monitors for mfds and the ch mfp for icp nothing to crazy, but atm I am on a desk later on I ll try a to build a kind of pit to set it in the right place with all screen and seat.

Same… stuck at a desk. Here’s my “pit”:
I built a small wooden box to hold the LFT screens (and my ghetto ICP ). Simply used double-sided foam tape to hold the screens to the wood (including the controller boards on the back of the LFTs), and to hold the MFDs onto the screen bezels (perfect fit btw). I can move the MFD enclosure off to the right of my monitor when i’m not flying. Just need to work on lowering my throttle and flightstick… it’s not fantastic, but it’s good for now. Good luck!

A great many deaths have been had at this set up

Harlequin, it looks great, you made me think about a wooden frame! But what size of screen do you use ? It looks a bit big for the mfds.

Yeah, the screens are a little larger than the MFDs. The original plan was to hide them behind another piece of wood or plastic, but then the MFD controller gets too far off the surface. Lazy won over aesthetics and i left 'em as-is. I tried putting some additional gauges or info in the left over space, but it wasn’t worth it in the end. I’m pretty happy with this setup for now.

Is what i tought, using the spare space for gauge or other instruments. It looks good anyway

That’s what I currently do, works great: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?7663-Home-Made-Cockpits-Post-Yours!&p=212586&viewfull=1#post212586

does any program allow to export the threat warning prime panel ?

If you mean RWR, yes. MFDE.

If you mean RWR, yes. MFDE.
The only “issue” i had with this extraction is that the rings aren’t exported as well IIRC (which is why i’ve got blank space beside my MFDs )
EDIT: oops… i didn’t try with MFDE, i extracted the RWR using the BMS extractor.
-
No I meant the TWP left to the RWR,
The launch warning indicator and mode for the RWR, would be useful with a touchscreen. And BTW can anyone explain to me what does the Incrs/decrs radar gain on the MFDS ?
And Also in Bms Setup/control/advanced, what does saturation (next to deadzone) ?I have an other question concerning game mechanic, if I turn my FCR on standby, would I appear on other aircraft FCR ? how does it work ?

I am having an issue with my MFD’s and didn’t know where to post this question. I recently downloaded Windows 8.1 and now my MFD’s flash on and off every 3 seconds.
I have plugged them into other usb plugs and they still do it. Now, when I am using them, for instance in game or through TM controller, they stay on. They only flash on and off when not in use. Any ideas? -
Its a WIN 8 problem. As the MFD’s don’t send a signal to the computer until you press a button, Win 8 thinks they are idle and shuts down the USB port.!
Their is no straight fix, but a work around on Microsoft’s support site.
Here’s the link,
hope it helps…… -
I will try that out. Thank you…

ordered me some MFDs! should be here tomorrow.
