A small step in the right direction, Spooky.
… now go ahead.Cheers,

The problem I now have is tempo. I approached it with the wrong method. I found out that I can’t work on it more than 2 hours a day, because after 2 hours I start to do BS lol. Now I saved my PSD’s and it’s all fine, tomorrow I will do both wings and will add some dirt “fatigues”

IMHO … It looks not that bad, Spooky.
you might get more satisfied if you try the following…
Copy the main color layer(s), then add noise and reduce that layer(s) to 5-10% opacity.

really like this weathering, i’d be interested in a psd to adapt squadron skin if you are sharing…

Looks really good.

Looks fantastic I love dirty skins.

tbh, I liked your previous version better: it’s more balanced unless you really wanted to create a skin with a more stained look.
If I may give some advice again: you might want to look into working with more advanced techniques for colorblending.
Here’s an example how stuff might work:
Starting point: your flattened skin layer (best to try in a seperate psd file of course)
Go to Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen to sharpen it.
Then go to Images > Adjustment > Level (or press Ctrl + L) and set options like this:
“Channels: RGB, input levels: 13 / 1.09 / 241”
Duplicate layer and set blend mode to screen, opacity 39%.
Go to Images > Adjustments > Color Balance, set options:
S: -62.+20.+47
M: +33.-17.+6
H: -9.+5.+27Create new layer, fill it with #faf2ca and change blend mode to screen, opacity 31%.
Continue to create a new layer, fill it with #bebebe. Blend mode color burn, opacity 31%.
Press Ctrl + Shift + Alt + E to create a new layer like the previous result . Set blend mode screen and opacity 38%.
Go to Images > Adjustment > Color Balance, set option:
“Color levels: +53, -33, +17, midtones selected and preserve luminosity”
Create a new layer and fill it with #0d004c, set blend mode to exclusion, opacity 54%.
Press Ctrl + Shift + Alt + E again to have the layer with result that you’ve done before. Set its blend mode to soft light, opacity 50%.
Just something you might want to try
Doing real well Spooky and imho you are impressively improving!!

Hello guys,
I am working on a new project, from scratch this time, and it is a different ball game here.
On the 27th i am leaving Canada were i used to live until now, 4 years is enough and i am done with what i came for. I am going to west Africa for a while to see my family and job hunting.
I am not sure how long before i will have Internet at home, at the office for sure, but if stable enough to upload work, we will see. So this thread is not dead, i’m just busy traveling and enjoying the warm water on the African coast

Good luck, Spooky.
Cheers,

Pumpy is one of the nicest fellas to work with. He’s a real gentleman and I have never seen him post in a negative manner. He is truly a template for anyone posting on forums.
LMFAO…!
