Atc not working?
-
In a nutshell im very new to this game. So i looked a tutorial on how to ramp start the f16 and it followed the instructions in the ground op training mission. Thats not the problem as i got the plane running. The problem is the damn chocks. No matter how many times i do it every time i open the atc menu and hit 8 to remove the chocks nothing happens. Can someone help me?

You will need to punch in the tower frequency.
In your case, enter 292.3 into your UHF radio -
Could you tell me how to do that? The tutorial i am watching never mentioned anything about that.
-
Alright where do i put the code in exactly? Is it the buttons infront the hud?
-
Which video would that be ?
Anyway…
go here C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Docs\Falcon BMS Manuals
open the BMS-Training manual. page 14 describes UHF radio operation in a nutshell -
Thanks and heres what im watching:
Its from the previous version 4.32 but it does show you the basics(i hope) -
Since we are on the subject of help i need some more. After i got the radio fixed and chocks removed ive run into a new problem. I cant steer on the round. Ive tried the rudder but it does nothing. Is there something im missing?

If not that, maybe engage Nose Wheel Steering (NWS) …. SHFT-/ I think.
-
Thanks.

One more is are there any brakes for the wheels?
-
last I looked, default key assignment for wheelbrakes was ‘k’.
Dont take my word for it though, it should be in the setup>Controllers page.
If you have rudder pedals, you can set up individual brakes for each main wheel (left and right), for differential braking.
-
I have wheel brakes binded to my C button on the stick of my X-55. Good button to have binded to your HOTAS if you have enough buttons.

Hi Baron, did you look at the training manual at all? If you read it chapter by chapter, and fly the accompanying missions, that is an awesome way to get started in the sim. Highly recommended.

Gents don’t spoon feed. Kindly refer to manuals as Leech and others did. We have a lot of new guys nowadays and that’s great but we don’t want to make them assisted. We want them to have the right reflexes to go into the manual first
Thanks

Yep, let’s let the need to RTFM vet out the undesirables and unworthies.

Baron, First welcome to BMS. There is a saying that is popular here in the Forum, RTFM. That means Read the …Manual. I’m surprised you haven’t heard it already, you must have caught them in a good mood.
Seriously, though, your enjoyment of BMS will greatly increase if you spend some time in the Manuals. You would not jump in a real jet after one video, and it’s the same here. For example, the BMS Manual (p.89) tells you about comms.
Don’t worry about every little thing. For example, the DTC (p.64). The DTC is something you should be familiar with. However, the DTC section of the manual tells you about PPT, lines, etc. You don’t need all that to start out.
Here’s a list of good things to start with-TMS,DMS, cursor enable, etc. Basically, the HOTAS.
Main Checklists- gets you off the ground, and let’s use use the systems.
The “dash 34” manual, and focus first on what ordinance you immediately want to use.
Basically, build yourself a foundation from the manuals and grow from there. -
Agreed. Between the Manuals and Youtube, There’s not much you can’t learn. Being pretty new to BMS myself, I’ve spent most of my time so far just playing the training missions and getting accustomed to the Aircraft then actually playing the campaign.
