Saitek X-52 Profile

@ unpilot, jasonbirder et al,
Do you guys have other USB devices plugged in such as the Thrustmaster MFDs? If so this can reset your device numbers to where the profile will not work correctly with you HOTAS.
Thanks!! That did it. I had a old “Virtual” joystick program running that must have gummed it up.
Once I uninstalled that I was good to go!Now I just need to find out why my data cartridge is not loading…i.e. Blank MFD’s

Hallo,
I am new to BMS and I like to use your x52 Profile.
I also use the Thrustmaster MFD - now there are conflicts, because the key mappings for the x52 are not set from 0-x (don´t know the exact number).
In your Initial post, you wrote that one has to check whether the x52 is wins preferred Joystick, so that it does work correctly with the MFDs (or any other third Input device).Where can I set this? I really Need help, I don´t know how to set.
Thanks very much in advance!

What keybinding is the default for the reset/reposition trackIR? I have OpenTrack installed for headtracking, but I can’t figure out the re-center key combination used by the commercial TrackIR software that the Throttle mouse click is mapped to.

This profile is great, thank you!
However, the “Precision Slide” is anything but! It’s kind of twitchy, actually… and I would like it to be smooth for FOV control.
Any known workarounds to this would be greatly appreciated

Using this one and loving it!
edit: @ChrisBV
I actually turn that off, I feel the FOV zoom takes away from the experience. It is supposed to be a sim after all.

The latest Saitek drivers from Mad Catz didn’t work for me, I had to downgrade. I also had MFD issues with my X-52 using the latest drivers. My MFD would only show half the profile name. I’m currently using the latest programming software but version 6.xxx something of the drivers, sorry I don’t remember which ones. The Saitek FTP has the older drivers. There are some youtube videos discussing the MFD issues and the older drivers.
After using the version 6 drivers, my MFD on my throttle body displays the words correctly, the profiler works. Hope this helps someone else.

I came in just to say this, I noticed that my Razer Tartarus, which is a keypad w/ arrow keys, shows up as a 6-axis joystick and will throw off my Saitek’s button numbers even though I have the Saitek as the default joystick. If you click on a joystick button in BMS setup and notice that it says something > 32 then you may have a peripheral conflict.

Where can I find a reference for the setting “set g_nHotasShiftQuickPressTimeLimit”? I can’t find it referenced anywhere? Where is it documented?

1. How can I turn the sensitivity of the mini stick down its fast when I slew the curser on the FCR etc
2. Can I remap the Win amp controls as I will never use them
3. I read that the slap swicth is meant for counter measure…well when I press it I get a chaff/flare but none come out the only time they come out is if I press Hotas CMS Forward why is that?
P.S
I use the none track IR profile at the moment though this Tuesday I should have TrackIr 5

I have the same problems with the newest drivers. I have side effects like
- MFD flicker extrem
- freezing screen/pc
- teamspeak doesnt work anymore
- right mouse button doesnt work anymore
- some other problems
I found then this old drivers and software:
Win7 64Bit
ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/full/Saitek_X52_Flight_Controller_SD6_64.exe
ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/full/SST_Software_64_6_6_6_9.exeAnd with them, it seems to be fine.
Another user found this drivers too:
ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/x52/X52.zip is the software I think
ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/x52/x52_151205_32.exe is 32 bit drivers I think
ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/x52/x52_151205_64.exe is the 64 bit drivers I think- I created then a new profile for the x-52 with the same key bindings.
- Because my pinky switch doesnt work, i have to remove within the new x52 profile alle other columns.
- I modified my keystroke.key because in the BMS Saitek X-52.key is no Thrustmaster MFDs implemented. The Trustmaster MFDs take
the first joystick ID-0. The X52 get the last one. Therefore the directX Keys from the X52 start at position 64.
Example: The original author use this keys:
SimTriggerFirstDetent 0 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
SimPickle 1 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
SimNextAAWeapon 2 1013 -2 0 0x0 0
SimNextAGWeapon 3 1014 -2 0 0x0 0
SimMissileStep 4 1072 -2 0 0x0 0
SimHotasPinkyShift 5 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
……With my Thrustmaster MFDs i have to start like this:
SimTriggerFirstDetent 64 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
SimPickle 65 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
SimNextAAWeapon 66 1013 -2 0 0x0 0
SimNextAGWeapon 67 1014 -2 0 0x0 0
SimMissileStep 68 1072 -2 0 0x0 0
SimHotasPinkyShift 69 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
…In the falcon setup i configured then everything. --> field of view, Radar Antenna, … Throttle, …
I hope i helps other users with similar problems. If someone want to see my alpha keystroke file, then you can
download it here:
http://marvel.kilu.de/keys_thrust_mfd_x52.zipYour Keystroke file is here:
C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\User\ConfigIf you want to understand the keystroke file, then read this:

and the subfolders.Regards

just spotted a problem with the hud brightness being assigned to the rotary wheel.
Doing a ramp start you cant get no HUD even turning the wheel does not show the HUD only untill u unasign the wheel and use the actuall one in the 3d cockpit can you get the HUD to go bright.
From a taxi or runway start the HUD brightness wheel works well

Hi again,
Just received my mfds, so im trying to get everything working together. Ive been using this saitek profile, but now that the mfds are plugged in, the profile doesnt work anymore.
Ive noticed that the button numbers associated with each button on the hotas has changed after the mfds were plugged in - they’ve basically been incremented as a result of the 2 mfd panels.
Im not familiar with the keyfile, nor any of the editors. So before i go messing up the keyfile, id like to know what is the simplest way of correcting this?
Should i learn how to edit they keyfile, and create a new profile? If so, should i loom into a keyfile editor?
Thanks,
EDIT: Not sure how I missed this, but marvel_masters post just above explains the same issue, and the solution. So, I basically going to try editing the key file to increment the button positions by 64, as the MFDs has take ID’s 1 and 2.

Hey quick question everyone.
The pinkie switch on my x52 is broken. Is there any way to easily change the shift button to something else?
-
In SST? Yeah. Right click on the “shift modifier” line in the SST profile and select a new key.
-
Hello,
Thanks for great the profile, its really usefull especially as a beginner. Theres only one thing i’d like to change, i’d like to have the trackir precision button on the mouse button and the recenter function on mouse + pinky. So do i have to create a new callback for the precision function? And if yes, how do i do that? Sry for bothering with you with that basic stuff, i tried to figure it out myself but this is way above me. I am either to inexperienced or to dumb or propably both:wfish:
