Getting poor result during sweep
-
Sweep flight you must hit 2 of your sweep waypoints to get above poor
-
And this sounds dumb, but I noticed a difference in rating when I check in with awacs and when I don’t.
. When I check in woth awacs the scores were higher… not sure if its absolutely treu but it is a trend I think. -
IRL, you have to check in with AWACS whatever happens, otherwise you can’t push … So it is not so dumb.
-
Well yeah I knew that, but I wasn’t sure that checking in would affect the scores. Interestingly, some missions(strike/deep strike/oca strike and etc) seem to be less affected by not checking in. But again these r just my observation so I may be way off.

What does the checking in do? Except feel roleplayish?

maybe i’m doing this wrong, but i get mission partial failure:enemy losses inflicted with moderate casualties every mission, even when there are absolutely no possibility of casualties. tonight i took off with a few friends, we swept out to sea and ran into some MIGs coming in from the northeast like 50 miles NE of wonsan, who had absolutely no contact with friendly forces whatsoever. they came in from the chinese border FFS, and all of our friendlies were behind us. we then burned them out of the sky with no loss. and got the partial failure. is that because of the steerpoints, or not checking in?
seems like a weird message to give in either case. anyone know?

like with all missions if you dont follow it, you cant succeed at it. try and fly the way points more closely in the right timing and you will get a good rating; might get shot down though….
-
See what Dee-Jay wrote, and check-in while on the move. You could see how checking out changes your rating too. And don’t forget to check six.

In BMS is “check in” only for on-call CAS missions?
-
The easiest way to avoid bad results is to not fly sweeps but to fly BARCAPs. In the flight plan back the timer down to a 1 minute patrol then you only need to hit the 3-4 waypoints and you WILL get a success. This also frees up the flight to go hunt for trouble.

does not landing your aircraft affect the rating?

does not landing your aircraft affect the rating?
It can. If you go up and fail to destroy any enemy aircraft but hit your way points it will be a factor. If you hit the waypoints and shoot down several aircraft before losing yours you can still get an excellent rating.
