Still not worked it out have you Mav. one day itll dawn on you the more elite you make a game or sim the less people play it. There sorted, now go read another thread.
Yeah sure , BMS is loosing so many users every day because of its complexity.
You are so OFF gyro that this is no more fun
SOMEONE PLEASE ACCESS HIS REQUEST and close the account of this infamous troll

Hmm. Fairly sure Ive seen at least one thread where a dev commented about internal discussions about whether or not to release BMS, on the basis of it not being about basking in reflected glory, but more about making a sim they would be glad to fly, for personal benefit rather than for adulation of the many?
Am I imagining things again? If not, Seems like making it more elite and more realistic is the end goal anyway.

btw did.you get last updated TFR values ?Im clearly missing something here? Didnt think TFR worked correctly in BMS atm?

yes. Looks better
cant make better without heavily modifying core system. I think it is just fine now anyway

For the record, you will not find a moderator to close an account, we never do that.
If you don’t want to participate, it is easy, just don’t visit the forum. Those requests are ignored - you deal with it, not us.
-
Lol @ delete requests. But i sure do hope the devs keep making this thing as close to real minus classified, no compromise.
-
Nah, please don’t.
Im certainly not going to… leaving me in the dark.
Gonna make it hard to meet the required currency of TFR use once in every 45 days IAW AFI11-2F-16 volume 1 without being able to use it : P
Actually, I spotted something pretty weird using TFR the other day. Not really noticeable unless you have the cockpit display extraction going though.
If you set TFR on an MFD, which is being extracted to another window, then go to the orbit view (outside the plane) and rotate around to look at the back of the plane, the TFR view follows the camera - and you can see, on the extracted MFD, the back on the plane you are flying XD

All that I will say( and nothing more) is that the current TFR sways towards fiction.
I still have some popcorn left….

Bugga
Now I have to RTFM to see what CMS down dose -
We have ‘butted heads’ in numerous posts. I want to say here that it is my thinking that much of this is based on differing points of view …. honest disagreements based on how we each approach the software and/or the expectations we have of it. Case in point:
…., as for backing up with facts with regard to the cougar, not a problem, compare the following web page to the BMS.key file, youll find every command marked HOTAS is linked to the Cougar or Real F16 stick.
I don’t think you’ll find anyone who argues with this in a broad, general sense. However, my point of view is somewhat different. I don’t see ‘HOTAS’ commands as being Cougar-centric, I see them instead as being Realism-centric. They indicate which callbacks/modeled functions exist on the real F16 HOTAS. I also see them as being guide-posts for anyone who is setting up their HOTAS (Cougar or otherwise) …. they, along with the BMS -1, guide the user on which functions and callbacks mimic the real jet.
It is available to, and up to, the individual user to implement or not implement them in their own keyfile in a way that makes sense to and pleases that particular user. I am NOT saying modifying those commands or keyfiles to fit this or that HOTAS is easy. I am saying it is my opinion that it is do-able with a modest (and, imho, reasonable) amount of effort and thought.
OTOH, I have numerous keyfile callbacks set that might make those in search of ‘perfectly simulating’ a real F16 sick to their stomach. That is their problem, not mine. There is no prohibition against a given user to defining their own threshold or tolerance for ‘realism’. In fact, that latitude is built in to the sim in many different areas.
….This marvellous CMS lol great lets get it on our HOTAS, ive just programmed it all into my joystick, not my hotas and low and behold. CMS Forward, drops chaff flare pre programmed package 1 - 4, CMS Down and Right do squat, but they have to be there because they are on the F16 stick, CMS left just says chaff flare and does nothing so that will be program 6 or the slapswitch. …
An example of how that differing approach and point of view effects two different users.
I had no problem referencing the BMS -1 (C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Docs\Falcon BMS Manuals\BMS-Dash1.pdf) to understand the function of the CMS Right and CMS Down commands as well as the callbacks associated with them. There was a question of determining where (or whether) to put them on my Saitek X52 and/or X52 Pro controller. AND there was the need to understand how to modify the keyfiles and/or create DX commands to do so.
However, once done, they do function exactly as advertised in the -1.
In many cases you’ve posted, it’s not a question of ‘It doesn’t work.’ Instead it seems to me a question of ‘It doesn’t work the way I thought it did’, or ‘I don’t understand how it works.’ If you chose to approach the software as it actually functions as opposed to how one thinks it ought to function, you may find that you’ll have more success …. but possibly a steeper learning curve.
IMHO.
$0.02.
YMMV.
