IMHO the effect of glass is too strong. Here is a good example, sometimes the less gives more.

I agree with molnibalage. Anyway this is a great job. Well done.

I’ve never seen glass effects in flight-sims that I would ever want to look at. It always just looks like dirty glass to me. To do glass reflections correctly, you need to have the reflection rendered beyond the glass while having some head movement to clue your brain into the illusiory nature of the image. Further, when the shade comes (any roll angle that blocks the sun) you must substantially diminish the reflections.
In videos of Forza5’s cockpit they seem to have gotten it right.
I did some modelling a while back for a racecar game and was thinking about trying to invert a clone of the dashboard around the windshield to get a decent reflection, but i never got around to it. Also would need substantial code alterations for the disappears_while_in_shadow part.

The wings make the cat as they say…or don’t say…whatever.
Here’s an update on the most complex wing from that decade they call the 70s.
The 5 hinges are part of the two flaps and connect to the hydraulic actuators located below the wing spoilers.
The 4 wing spoilers all have different sizes but the above proportion isn’t final.
More soon…

Didn’t F-111 has the same complexity?
(or more because of wing root moving stuff at min. wind sweep angle?) -
BMS doesn’t currently support Bump maps, or Spec maps. All I can use is alpha.
The “effect” is just a test to see that it could be done. Glass without Alpha is just plain, no reflections etc.
Maybe in the Future Pumpy will add support for these items, albeit maybe a limitation to the engine.
DX9 should support Bump, and Spec maps.
We can work out what is acceptable to the glass.

(or more because of wing root moving stuff at min. wind sweep angle?)Yes, It is almost identical.
F4 Too. A little. F4 was a monster.

If by “Pumpy” you mean me, then you have much higher regard for me than is warranted. I have no experience whatsoever regarding coding or graphics. I have just made a few models for F4.
As you stated, there are currently no reflections or bump maps supported. The closest you can come to glass in F4 is pType 25.

Thanks, I’m using ptype 25 for Glass, with Alpha.
Well respect anyways, confused you with PinkyandBrains then.

…confused you with PinkyandBrains then.
Common error.
There’s a simple way to tell them apart: Only one has the “Brains”.
(No violation intended)
The Gorn.

(or more because of wing root moving stuff at min. wind sweep angle?)F-111 had two spoilers per wing and double edged flaps. The additional spoiler component as you correctly point out sits on the wing glove near the front wing root area.
Either way the wings are what really make the Tomcat as special as it is.
