Where's the ignition?

Ok I see. I didn’t chose this solution because of the “click weakness” of my COUGAR’s throttle. There is not safety and for me it is too easy to accidentaly pass the 2nd click in a quick manoeuvre. This is why I prefer the keystoke lock.
Yep. This is the best!
In BMS I find it doesnt matter if I retard the throttle past IDLE - If I push it back up quickly, I keep my avionics - and the click is warning enough. Mine is a strong enough detent to rest the throttle on though, so perhaps mine is a harsher detent.

@Pumpyhead - what would it take to be as funny as you…?
I mean - besides the lack of a sense of humour.
Any tips would be welcome.

let’s have one week of holiday

Maybe that’s taken too seriously. It is a kinda running joke of Clayton for many years, making comments on Robert’s sense of humor. Maybe a bit childish, that’s all. They go a long way together

bit fed up of Ara’s sense of humour and sarcasm mainly.
About time it changes regardless if he’s doing this with friends of his or not.We cut him enough slack already. his behaviour needs to change.
And the only issue arguing this with us moderator will be further ban. -
Well, I think you responded to the wrong OT post, in honesty. Both the image response and Ara’s non response had nothing to do with the thread…
Would report it but have been advised by moderators to not use the report function, so…

It was not my intention to argue, just some background info.

While I would disagree that my post violates Forum Rule 5 (•Continuous or deliberate attempts to derail the topic of a thread.), I do not fault the moderators for their action and will accept without rancor a temp ban or more permanent ban if they so deem.
I understand that the forum can quickly devolve into chaos if strict adherence to rules are not observed. I do; however, think that joking and fun can sometimes help create a sense of community and enjoyment beyond the dry answers to questions.
As an example, Mower’s thread proclaiming that his PM box is now cleared. Many persons teased him mercilessly and fun was had by all laughing with Mower, not at Mower.
For the record, Aragorn’s post was intended as/and taken as (by me) a jest in good fun. HOWEVER, Aragorn has been given previous warnings about the sarcasm in his posts so he posted knowing full well he may risk a ban.
I too will sometimes try to inject humor (i.e. “Where’s the ignition?” my post–> Picture of ignition), but I do so knowing that I may be banned for doing so.
My apologies to the forum moderators and to the OP for derailing the thread.

The ignore option works well with members like him who never write anything worth reading. If the thread really needs checking, posts can be seen with single click.
-
Well put, Pumpyhead.

Not yet
Instead I have a detent on my throttle warning me that Im about to get accidental cutoff - Cougar, so passing the first click while retarding the throttle is IDLE, second click is both end of the reporting range for the device, and also OFF.
Id just like to have a locking lever rather than a little clicky bump, is all.
I have the same throttle setup and end up with flame outs on occasion when throttling back to idle.

@DJ is your throttle on a rail? or still on the box? im looking to revamp mine, think you could post a couple more pics?

Not mine … On the pic it is Red Dog’s throttle. Mine is unmodified.
