This weekend I have done a rough draft of the right aux. I have some clean up and finishing to do, but otherwise, the Fuel Quantity Indicator, Caution Panel and PFL all work. The rest are obviously fake. Did not want to put money into them right now. Maybe later. You can see I used the G-15 LCD and circuit board for the PFL. I mounted the board on a couple of brackets and used some stick on cabinet door bumpers to keep the bracket off the solder points of the board. Amazing what you can use when you dig through your kitchen drawers
I am not real happy with the fake gauges, but may put in working ones later. Just didn’t want to spend the money on them right now.
No, that’s not my walker :yeah:

Thank you…much easier to view…looking good.

Today I did some touch up to the right aux. I hooked it up and calibrated the fuel quantity gauge. I tested everything in BMS and it worked like a champ. Of course the fake gauges didn’t do anything damn it  I started working on my seat. I made it a little high on purpose and can trim it down later if needed. I have to drag my left and right consoles out to set the proper level. Otherwise I think it is close. Very easy for me to get in and out of, and very comfortable. I still have some beefing up to do on it, and of course purti it up
Sorry for the blurry picture.

Actually, the blurry pictures make it look better.
I have to laugh, but honestly you are right

Here is a rough draft of my center pedestal. It still needs a lot of touch up and painting. It actually looks better than the pics display.
It’s a little too tall, but the height will be adjusted once I figure out exactly how tall it needs to be. Also my painting of the lines and numbers on the knobs is terrible. I have no artistic talent what so ever. I will fix that with something better.

I took a couple of pics of the side. It appears that the top row of buttons on the CPD are hidden, but when I sit in front of it, they are in plain view and easy to get to. I wanted to set the ICP a little farther back, but then decided I wanted it as close to me as possible. The angle of the CPD seems to be just about right for my viewing and accessibility. Of course, all the edges need to be sanded and rounded off before painting so it will look pretty

Wanna see a mess?
Here is my new Left Aux. Not totally done yet, but close. I added a canopy switch and am making a nice switch cap for it. I don’t know if you can tell, but I remember when I worked Tankers and F-4’s, the switches were always worn and grayish. So I covered everything up except for the switch bats. I sprayed gray paint in the air and let it fall. The switches actually look old and gray. Looks pretty cool. It was just an experiment.

Haven’t done as much as I hoped to recently. My back was bothering me, and I needed to rest it. So, I did some little things preparing to do the center consoles. Here are some pics of my left side eyebrow indicators/switches, the Threat Warning Prime panel with switches and a rough draft of the Miscellaneous Panel back plate. The Master Caution Rest and F-ACK are push buttons. Of course, everything needs to be prettied up, and will look much better when finished. The last pic is just all of the other stuff waiting to be painted and all put together. Hope I remember where the wires go

Looks like you’ll have a few hours wrapped up in reconnecting everything! That is a lot of wires!
Had fun flying with ya yesterday. Nice meeting you!
-
Is that all single strand aluminum cabling ?
-
Hmm, which wire goes here?
was it the red one or the white one ??You best be sober when you put it back together.

That is actually single stranded copper wire (door bell wire). It works great and is tough. 100 foot rolls at Lowes for $16.00.

It looks like I was drunk when I first put it all together, so maybe I should be drunk when I reconnect :drink:
I actually have everything labeled, so it shouldn’t be that painful.
