SAitke Combat Rudder pedals Toe Brakes Setup in BMS??

Make sure that you didn’t set your “axismapping.dat” file to read only as most of us do to keep our stick settings from changing. That is a possible reason why your settings aren’t being saved.

I am complete newbie to BMS so take this with a warning
Had a similar issue with Saitek rudder (pro flight ones) and could not get the toe brakes recognised no matter what I did so I ended up deleting the axismappig file (actually renamed it first just in case) and voila it all worked just as expected.
Then left toe brake on the general brake axis and right on the right the brake.
All worked fine then.

HaHa Success,
This actually worked and I am so thankfull!! I just have 1 more question about the toe brakes now. Are they supposed to stop the plane when pressed down the toe brakes or when released??
It does work just not sure If I need to reverse the axis in the toe brakes as I stop when released?? I would think I need to apply themn too stop??

Hi Having never had this happen before is this a Known issue with BMS?? I would hope if BMS devs know about this it can get fixed in the nest patch hopefully…
I am unsure if removing the AxisMap file did anything or not but I was able to set the Controllers then alt+Tab to desktop and make the Axismap.dat file read only and it has been ok since then…
I even flew a mission and reversed the Toe brakes to apply the brakes when pressing the toe brakes… it is pretty cool I just have to reset the angle to the toe brake to a lesser angle… easy to do but a bit of a PITA as it is already velcroed to the floor and saet inplace will need to crawl under the desk to reset…
But cool pedals so far…

Yes, intended behavior is toes pressed equals braking.
Yes, you need to reverse the axes to do that.

Got it all set and I readjusted the pedals down all the way… they are adjustable and I moved them up all the way wich was too much so I moved them back down hopefully it works better now…
I will give them a thorough testing sometime but later… Also I was running F4 last night and the control settings got changed even thos I set the Axis file to Read only?? Weird for sure, I set the Controllers back and clicked apply and then I reset the axis file to read only and I am hoping it stays put this time…

Well after a week with no F4 time I went in this morning and a few of the axis’ where changed and I had to reconfigure now I would like to know When I set it the last time I put it too READ ONLY the axisdat file and it changed how is that possible and what can I do to remedy it??

http://www.saitek.com/manuals/combatrpmanual.pdf page 11, you can set a deadzone
-
is there any other way besides playing with the dead zone?
in the pit of the sim the rudder shows the same wobbling, just a little touch and it goes away. -

in the pit of the sim the rudder shows the same wobbling, just a little touch and it goes away. Why? That’s why people invented the deadzone setting, to eliminate unwanted input in the begin of the range… It’s that or change the potentiometer inside the rudder, and after a while the same issue will start occurring again, that’s common issue with potmeters.
