Livrot Mic Command - Preview Release
-
PayPal is down at the moment for livrot.com.
I do not know why, and I do not care much, as there are about two buyers per month.
The new LL hotkey system is offering to also send out eaten events that were eaten by accident without finally triggering an eater hotkey.
This is a big improvement, as the first event of an eater hotkey is no longer a lost key or button. When the second event does not fit, it is eaten too, the ‘by accident’ eaten first event is send out artificially followed by the unawaited ‘disturber’ event.
This way no eating ever happened. Except for the first event which is not distributed until the second event fails. Much better than ever before.
Developing and explaining these new features took more time than expected, but I do expect the new version to be released before april … still writing the manuals and testing the new stuff …Regards, Torvil

Googling for livrot.com gives a ‘Server Error’ without any mention that it’s due to the google webcrawler - at least I think it is, now. Or is it just me?
Using Bing or Yahoo search opens livrot.com without any problem.?
Does anyone have an idea about it?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Torvil,
I normally use DuckDuckGo as a serch engine and i have just tried to access livrot.com, OK
I changed to Google and tried twice to access livrot.com, both times were OK, so it looks like the problem is fixed.Hope this was of some help

Thanks, Toaster!
I do not understand, why the heck I personally get this (still, fresh screenshot) when googling for livrot.com.
Tried Ctrl - F5 and all, no luck. Guess I’ll contact google. Like talking from the very bottom to the very top … -
Hi again Torvil,
My best guess, and it is a guess, is a corrupt google search engine. Can you delete it from your browser and then download it again, this may help, but as I say it is only a guess.

Wow, thanks, Toaster!
A simple change from ‘google.de’ to google.com’ did the trick, if it wasn’t fixed in the mean time by something else, of course.
Many thanks, this really relaxes

Please do all prepare for a major change in the LMC Hotkey System.
As LMC is a macro tool, designed to be available anywhere on the desktop and games,
the new standard hotkey mode will be ‘Low Level Eater’, there are others, including a custom mode, btw.The facts/ rules to the new standard more are very simple.
1. Any keypress/button press to be held, combined with a second key-/botton press enters the LL eater hotkey - and is sufficient. Keys should be well separated on the keyboard layout to avoid triggering ‘by accident’ or ‘fast typing’. Like {Numpad 3} pressed + ‘A’ pressed.
2. key releases are ignored on recording and triggering (except for the starting key- releasing it without additional key press restores the eaten key press + release - this prevents the old ‘lost key’ for the entry event of eater hotkeys)
3. the entry key/button is no longer a ‘lost’ key. simply because normal press and release, sends out the key + release event, also holding {Numpad 3} + pressing {Numpad 5} additionally (or anything but ‘A’) restores the two eaten keypresses.
4. key repeat can even be enabled for the entry key (you should do so, only if you tend to press and hold + press the second key faster than the system key repeat setting)
5. as the events of the hotkey are eaten, they can never disturb in any other application
6. the same start event can be used for multiple (thousands - if event-chains are long enough) eater hotkeys
7. they finally work on Windows 8 - at least on my laptop
8. the only loss is that the starting key is repaired on release - a tad slower than normal. Many other modes and a lot of flexibility for special circumstances have been preserved and expanded - I just have to rewrite the ‘Hotkey-Options’ in both languages supported by the manual and check through the exercises myself, squash existing bugs and deliver.
3-4 weeks as alwaysRegards,
Torvil -
Hello everyone!
26 languages can now additionally be used for speech recognition by switching to the Microsoft Speech Platform 11 in LMC.
The complete manual was rewritten and also translated to German.Check the last page of the manual for all the news.

I AM HAVING A difficult time getting this to work with Falcon BMS. It works in notepad but as soon as I start falcon (command does not go trough…no effect), it a no go. I’m looking for a single key from a keyboard source to open the mike as I speak the command and close when I release. If anyone can share a sample of what the hotkey setup should loo like, it would be appreciated!
Thanks

You are using the latest version (1.170408 ) of LMC, right?
Try running BMS in windowed mode.
Or right click on the mic hotkey button in LMC and select ‘device bound’.
Or try recording the third mouse button as the mic hotkey. Eventually set this hotkey to ‘device bound’ if needed.
Or try connecting a gamepad/joystick and use one of its buttons for the mic.Hope any of these helps,

No luck. My configuration is probably messed up, Ill try creating a new profile, will that reset the setting to “default” ?
-
No. The settings are kept, as you normally have everything set up according to your needs and preferences.
To restore the default settings, load the ‘crash_course_profile’ from the LMC folder (Menu/Files/Open LMC folder - copy it to the desktop and open it, then create a new profile).Make sure not to use a key that is used in your BMS keyfile! - Try the pause key for example.
Another idea: right click on the mic hotkey and set it to ‘Windows System’ hotkey. Then record it again as ‘WIN(windows key) + V’. -
Hi Livrot,
After several months away from BMS, I miss it too much so I decided to regrap the stick.
I installed the new version of LMC, loaded my last working and fine tuned profile and things didn’t work :(.
Do I have to rewrite a profile from the beginning with this new version ? :-?My last working LMC version was v1_15_0130_136.
I decided to reinstal v1_15_0130_136, but as I upgraded my computer, I needed a new registration key. But it appears that your system is not able to deliver a new key for an old version. Is there a way to obtain one as creating a new profile is time consuming and I can’t imagine fly without your fantastic software ?Cheers

Helo Wingedsky,
I am sorry, but this would mean a lot of work for me - and it would take weeks to provide a solution for older versions.
Another user has already pointed out that artificial LMC keypresses do not reach BMS,
while testing with notepad showed no problems. Can you confirm this?
I did load your profile (from livrot.com) in LMC (V1.170408 ) and would suggest, to try the following after loading your profile:
click settings/hotkey/‘Advanced & Global …’
in ‘Global Windows System Hotkey Changer’
click ‘erase’, ‘OK’
then ‘convert to Low Level’now to be able to press the hotkeys using just one hand
record ‘F5’ + ‘F6’ for the mic hotkey and ‘F1’ + ‘Escape’ for the stop hotkey. To trigger these hold the first key(F5) while pressing the second(F6).
I tested this and the ‘press while talk’ mic mode does as desired until releasing ‘F6’Please tell me more about ‘things didn’t work’, so that I can repair it.

Hi Torvil,
I tried your suggestion above and nothing better.
I have begin to try studyng in depth LMC.
Unfortunately, after several hours reading the manual and testing (at least 5 or 6 ) I am still not able to use lmc in this version.PTT seems not working as soon as you click on an other application than LMC
I tried “my first command” as explained in p17, automatic record stop delay doesn’t work, need tto use the stop Temporary macro Hotkey. I tried Various ranges. it is working when registering hotkeys in settingsWell, I really feel desapointed with this version.
I would like to know if, in this communauty or others one as Arma3, some one can use lmc in game. Please give us some feedback.
AND PLEASE, I would really appreciate been able to run my old version v1_15_0130_136.
I have found some other weird things, as for example exporting files in txt or html or xml, with as result a txt file (or html or xml) with lmc extension …
With microphone always on, I can write a “say fuel” command" on a txt file only one time, even if speech recognition is ok (more than 90%) …Maybe you should write for basic use a step by step guide on how to create a vocal command for BMS use as you did at the beginning !!!
With this start point, for sure I will be able to write a full profile.I tested some temporary macro fonction as describe in your guide, I feel very impressed by the result, but really, I fell completely lost for BMS…
Sorry for these words TORVIL and please, let me know if some one here can run a basic profile on this new version of LMC, and if yes, please, share it !

Hello Wingedsky,
perhaps jumping from 2015 jan to 2017 april (6 versions of LMC later) may be at the origin of most of your troubles.
Please try opening the LMC folder from the menu and right click + drag the LMC crash course profile to your desktop.
Close LMC and double click on that profile to reopen LMC with that profile.
Doing so should bring the settings file of LMC up to date.
Then open your profile with the ‘load profile without settings’ icon (shows a folder with a red arrow)
to load the commands of your profile without the old settings of your profile.
Switch to PTT now if you like.
Try to use the mic hotkey recorded in these settings hold ‘F8’ and press ‘m’.
It works fine here (in notepad and paint).
If it does not work in BMS, try running BMS in ‘window’ mode once for a test, please.Did you read the ‘record elementary LMC hotkeys’ part of the quick start guide in the new manual and the links provided at the end of that section
(the new eater mode)? If not, please do so.I do not have much time ATM, but as soon as I got some I install BMS and upload a profile that is up to date for LMC usage with BMS.

Thanks for the answer and advices Torvil.
I followed your instructions, and yes PTT is working and phrases are recognized BUT in NotePad I have a multiple “m” wrinted before the “action”
here is the result in Notepad for “Tanker request fuel” in PTT mode: “mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy&” plus the green LED light flashing …
hummmmmmmm
some progress here but It is not yet a working profile.EDIT1 : As I want to built a “pur” profile, I decided to clear all contents of the following collums : text 1 to 4 and CONSTANTS.
THe green LED light doesn’t not appear now …
some progress
My confidence level of recognition is about 90%EDIT2 : After several uses of PTT with notepad, microphone doesn’t shut down …
And when I try to reload my new saved profile I have an ERROR message :
ERROR while trying to load profile: Input string was not correct format
