Hello,
just to let you know that WS10 engine was correctly implemented.
I decided to implement upgraded WS10 engine (and not the initial WS10), to match upcoming J-16 and J-16D.

What a beautiful beast Radium.

BTW are there any Chinese weapons in the DB? The J-16 essentially uses Chinese made weapons.
-
@Scorpion82 Yes of course :
I already did PL12 and PL10E, both in stock DB (the other ones are Russian Kh-31P.
Donāt pay attention the racks !
'(Contrary to the previous one, I now have custom J-16 tails)
Radium

Sounds good. Might be worth, if the some reasonably skilled modelers could make some additional Chinese weapon models.
-
@Scorpion82 what do you mean ? I already made :
J-7G
J-8I
J-20
J-16 ongoing
J-16D ongoing
Su-30MKK ongoing
Su-35BM
PL-10E
PL-12
PL-15
YL-12
YL-14
YJ-83K -
Hello !
Just to let you know that J-16 texturing process is ongoing !
I am also adding all bulbs, sensor, antennasā¦ That will of course not appear on other Sukhoi Su-30 series !

@Radium is your models be available in U4?
-
@VDK No ! It will be for 4.38 !

The Kh-xx missile between the engines of the Su-30/35 is just as ārealā as 4xAGM-88 on any kind of F-16. Yes, physically you can put on a rail/HP but the system is simply not able to handle. Even a toilet could be carried on a HPā¦

Hello,

Hello !
Just found this :
Chinese are now flying a carrier based J-16Dā¦ Looks like the child of a Su-33 and a J-16D.
But for now, I will not make it, because not operational.
Not sure about its ecact naming !

According to http://chinese-military-aviation.blogspot.com/p/fighters-ii.html?m=1 this is called J-15D Flying Shark/Flanker.
This EW variant of J-15S (J-15D) was developed based on the experience of J-16D. The first prototype of J-15D was rumored to have flown on October 25, 2016 and a prototype in full standard flew in early 2018. The aircraft carries two large wingtip ESM/ELINT pods similar to those onboard J-16D, with the windshield IRST/LR removed as well. Additional conformal antenna fairings have been identified throughout the aircraft. A new blade antenna was installed outside the engine air intake. The aircraft is expected to feature an AESA radar. The pilot in the rear cockpit serves as the weapon system officer. J-15D is expected to carry large ECM pods similar to the RKZ-930 series onboard J-16D (two under the wings and one underneath the fuselage) plus two YJ-91 ARMs under the wings. J-15D has been anticipated to be stationed onboard the indigenous CATOBAR carrier Fujian. One J-15D prototype was seen being evaluated by the PLAN Carrier Fighter Group in December 2019. The latest video (March 2024) suggested that J-15D may have entered service with PLAN, carrying two large ECM pods.- Last Updated 3/24/24

A cool addition to BMS! Thank you Radium!
A newly released Russian MoD video showing a Russian Naval Aviation Su-30SM2 multirole fighter armed with two R-77-1 medium-range AAMs & two R-37M long-range AAMs.This is the first time a Su-30SM2 is shown armed with the latter. Photo

It would be cool if you could add medium-range R-77-1 and long-range R-37M together to your Su-30SM2.
Last week I wrote about R-77-1: @Radium 's new 3D models for the Flanker family present an opportunity to add the AA-12B / Adder B (R-77-1 / RVV-SD) missile to the Falcon BMS database because this is the active radar homing medium-range missile in the inventory of Russian Federation aircraft, whose aircraft currently do not use the previous version AA-12(A) ADDER (R-77 / RVV-AE), and this is only in service in countries where it has been imported like India and Egypt.
Externally, R-77 and R-77-1 are very similar, but they have differences in the rear part as you can see here https://twitter.com/54_98554/status/954301166560542721?t=ZumfEZGq_fxBuO4OO4ACRQ&s=19
On the other hand, kinematics is the highest difference between them. According to official sources, the max range of RVV-AE is 80km, and the max range of RVV-SD is 110km so maybe the easy way is editing the parameters of the current AA-12 IOT having an AA-12B with a max range 1.375 times higher.

@Dardo_01 Hello, thanks ! Very nice piece of information ! In the endā¦ Not an antenna info ! Just kidding.
- So, I will definitely make the R37 missile. Itās a very nice looking weapon, with foldable fins, a bit like Kh-41.
- For R-77-1, I would need to have precise pictures of it. For now, what we found is very laconic ! We are talking about izdeliye 170-1 right ? Look to be this one ?
- J-16 is kept, because itās the upcoming leading chinese Sukhoi Su-30 variant. Moreover, it can carry most chinese weapon systems.
- J-16 D is kept too, because it will be a fabulous āchinese Growlerā with a nice very long range strike fighter capability
- Su-30 SM2 is kept, becuase it is the leading VKS and AVMFR Su-30.
Nev ertheless :
- Su-30 M2 is cancelled, because too little combat interest ;
- Su-30 MKK is cancelled, because we decided to replace it by J-16, as long as all Su-30MKK payload can be used on J-16 and that we want to avoid too many Su-30 series entries in the DB.

Out of my head, Iām not sure how many Su-30s are currently included in the DB. I would keep two baseline models Flanker G and Flanker H. Dependent on the theater, skins could then be tailored and maybe the aircraft designation updated and weapon loadouts adapted, if necessary. The original Su-30 is not required as it was not really used, apart from the export version Su-30K (India), which is out of service however, albeit twelve or so airframes have been upgraded and delivered to an African country (IIRC Angola).
But thatās just my opinion.
