Attacking a carrier group would generally be done with a submarine, but if you are determined to take it out with air assets, you need a pretty large COMAO. First of all, to deal with the aircraft that are scrambled from the carrier, and secondly, to saturate the surface-air defences so much they can’t possibly attack everyone. A high rate of aircraft losses and casualties is pretty much guaranteed, though, so you need even more assets on standby for CSAR.

Hey, guys, thank you all for the help and answers!!! Actually I wasn’t by myself trying to destroy the russian carrier group. There were at least 6 human pilots with the mindset still stuck to the 4.33 version and we got to know by the force of death that we could no longer defeat those ships with the same weapons we used to. Unfortunately, Balkans theater does not have any F-16 capable of deploying AGM-84A, unless we force it by using mission commander as we already did!!! Thank you again!!

Try using the Mirage 2000D armed with the AM-39 (IIRC) should do the trick. Launch at 30,000’ and max range (40nm I think, best check though) Good luck.

Correct. And it is really not a top prio yet considering that that feature could have a huge impact on AIs efficiency / Campaign engine.
Before considering that kind of stuff … one have to ensure a quite better AI behavior in every A/G tasks (such as the enhancements made on A/A tasks on 4.34) … otherwise you may expect SAMs to run out of missile in a VERY short period of time and then no more air Defense at all … and/or see AIs not able to hit anything at all.
So please be patient … No need to remind us every days. It is duly noted and on the to-do list. But step by step … in the right chronological order.

This seems to me the most hardest task. You can build up a very crude but basic logic to avoid waste missiles in 3D world but is currently no real missile release modeled in 2D world just “power” “defense” and “dmg” like values.

I am not sure (?) we should consider it in 2D since that is already statistical (so with some miss probability) … and in any ways, I wouldn’t have any ideas how to properly define them to take it in account with a correct guess estimation.
