Printing the 4.34 BMS manual: The Lulu connection
-
Lulu is an online printing service for self edited books.
All the BMS Document suite is available on Lulu.
I looked at other options to try to decrease the price tag of the printing job but I always ended up either more expensive or much lower in quality.
Therefore I decided to continue with Lulu as it worked reasonnably fine for 4.33Lulu obviously charges money for the printing work; that amount is a factor of the type of book selected (size, colour, b&w) and the number of pages.
Let me be clear that the authors will receive no commission from any BMS docs.
The only costs are the printing costs fixed by Lulu and shipping.
No one is obliged to order these books, they are available to those who want them.
The documents are available here as PDFs and of course are in the Docs folder of your BMS 4.34install.If you have any doubt about the fact that these documents are free, I suggest you run a simulation by Lulu. Enter the quality of the manual (soft cover, A4 full colours) and the number of pages below and see how much Lulu will charge before the author’s commission. That price will be the same (ex taxes and ex shipping) as the price you will see on the ordering page proving that author’s commission is set to nihil. If you need any clarification, please get in touch with me
Please see this post for an explanation of each document purpose

Wow!! These look awesome! “?” I am considering soon here the Com’s Nav book and the training manual. I recently wondered in the new 4.34 version, why the buttons are gone on that panel left of the HSI? I thought I read something regarding that but cannot recall. And looking through the new documentation that is in the Doc folder in 4.34, I am trying to sort things out and really get into this the proper way. But these books seem very impressive. Are they the same as the Doc pdf’s or more indepth?
-
they are the same
The EHSI changes are covered in the dash-1, section 1.2.3.15

Is that your picture?! Were you sitting in front of ole Pete-Boomer, that year he filmed this presentation?

I just ordered the Training Manual and the Nav Com manual.:rtfm:

Well… It’s either paper text books or all the pdf’s on a Tablet, which is what I’ve been doing. But I did order a couple of these to start. I think it’s nice to have some printed books again after all these years! I remember when all the flight sims we used to go buy in the box came with printed manual. Now today, we have better quality and different technology.

Just wanted to share this info. -
Just a quick question. If I put the manual on my lap opened to a page. Will it stay open to that page?
