AC-130H behaviour in 4.34?

I’ve noticed that the AC-130H has received a 3D model overhaul in 4.34 and is now modeled in stunning details! Being away for work at the moment I haven’t been in a position to setup some tests so I was wondering if someone could provide some insights in how 4.34 deals with one of my all-time favorite ground-ponders.
Does the aircraft actually fire its weapons sideways in the game and will the AI setup a circular attack pattern when hitting a ground target? And will the campaign AI only schedule AC-130H sorties at night / evening?

set up a TE to test… no, AC-130 not working.
i think the gunship code is not complet yet.BTW its flight/squadron store SSD 0, has no weapon ammo on the list.
i add ammo on SSD list, try TE again - no go. -
