Looks awesome. I’m currently dealing with rigging and animation for my project so I have some questions re your DOF showcase:
Is this done in 3Ds?
Are the red lines rotation axis and the green circles indicate movement along the axis within constraint limits?
Yellow circle the rig controller?
Thanks for your contribution!
-
All these DOF are done in 3dsMax, indeed the red line indicate the rotation axis and the green arrows symbolize the kind of movement (Translation, rotation).
In order to create DOF you can use in falcon you have to work on 3dsMax and download the falcon SDK plugin
The yellow cirle is a tool of 3dsMax used to navigate in the viewport. It haven’t any relation with the DOF.Regards, Gudule

DOF system is being activated by an helper item in Max. In fact, DOFs have a CG, but also a rotation, translation, scaling vector, which can be adjusted by limiters and multipliers. Our friend Waveydave explained everything in his plugin’s handbook, so I hereby suggest you to give it a check. As a recall : BMS can’t read Max standalone created animations, it must be given vector set by DOFs helpers. I also highly suggest you to mode and train do use thèse helpers, as they will define your 3D mesh doctrine : for example, one of the worst idea is to animate an opened or extended part, It’s always better to open a door, extend a gear than closing it, because DOFs are highly visually set… DOFs really need some drill before doing something cleaning.

Updated Magic II for the mirage F1

Will it be able to take 4 Magic’s? I do not know about the France or foreign versions capabilities, but our HAF birds where modified to carry 4x missiles, AIM-9P specifically, Magic was later received for the 2000’s.

Hello Raptor,
I am sorry, but, we said, from the very begining that only CR, CT, ASTRAC, C.14 and EQ would be considered. So, we haven’t thought to make a C version such as the ones deployed in Greece, Equador, Jordan, Koweit, Qatar etc…
However, in my personal opinion, I do not see any reason why the R550 couldn’t be implemented in stations ST2 and ST8… But, as far as I know, French air force never used that harpoints as an operational asset.
later, when the release would be made, you can easily and by yourself use Falcon editor to add these missiles on your custom aircrafts.
For your information here is what we expect :
Best regards,
Radium

I know since the very beginning that a HAF version is not in the plans… My example was to ask if the use of 4x a2a racks will be used in your model planned versions, not to ask something new.

Hello,
This is the reason why I explained that I don’t see much reason to implement 4 x R550 because it looks this is only being deployed and made possible on Mirage F1CG and Mirage F1JA.

Radium

Still you don’t understand me nor my original question… Bottom line, are any of the Mirage F-1 versions you are planning capable of carrying 4x a2a missiles in real?
But anyway, I’ve found my answers in Google.

Raptor,
I had been polite with you, I would request the same from you. Maybe you haven’t thought to clarify your question.
I said that for now, I don’t see any reason to make it in the versions we are wishing to simulate.
But please enjoy Google, if my time spent to communicate about our project doesn’t gives you full satisfaction.

Radium, it was just a small misunderstanding due to my original guestion… I (think I) was not and did not intent to be rude to you at any way, please accept my apologies if in any way I did sound rude to you. You have my full respect and support on any work you mess with for bms. I was only trying to find out about the detail with the 4 pylons in foreign ( = not HAF ) birds.
