Per-missile SMS options
-
I forget when but BMS changed the AAM options like SLAVE BORE to a per-missile basis instead of a global option for all missiles of that type. E.g. it was possible to have AIM-9s on 1/9 with one set to BORE and one set to SCAN. Pressing missile step would step between the two missiles and the option changes as each missile is selected.
Is there a documented support for this behavior? Is it something that was added later on to later F-16s?

IIRC I made that change back then, but kill me if I remember the source. However I’m SURE I did it for a good reason, possibly Leech will know

Hmmm… does that option allows for eg 2 targets with IR seekers on 2 missiles simultaneously?? …no FCR … if so , me Approved
-yeah, afaik, in early falcon, AF, FF, it was global … but this seems ok too -

I cant remember giving you any advice on this, but here is my input. We have it wrong. SCAN/SPOT , BORE/SLAVE , BP/TD are global for missile type.

OK I see… so we need to fix. It should be easy enough to fix, even though I’m a couple of years away from touching any avionics code
