Pilot model fo F-16

Hi Harpoon !
As we know … unfortunately, there are problem with panel visibility with your leg mod!
As a compromise … could it be possible to have a model, just with the leg (without torso even if it looks great) … and slightly mode the leg (knee) to the centre in order to free a little more the lateral consoles…
?
IMO that could be a very good compromise …

It may be out of the scope of this mod, but since the leg models are animated to show pedal movement, would it also be possible to link the model to a pov switch/track IR so that the model animates to move itself out of the way based on where the player looks? In its simplest form it could be that the legs shift towards the centre as the player looks down towards the warning lights or brake/Gear panel.

That is code related …

Hi Pilots,
at first, many thanks to Harpoon for his great Pilot Model!!
In my opinion, there is unfortunately a bit difficult to reach the sides panels. Therefore, I simply asked Harpoon how to remove the body and the legs still retains. He answer me promt wiht the solution. And it works! Thank you!
Here is an illustrated guide for those who want to try it too.At first some pics
Here is the guide.
At first, install the pilot Model like Harpoons readme.
For win7 64bit users, run lodeditor wiht winxp sp2 komp mode.
Do not forget, you should have a backup of the files in case something goes wrong.greatings,
Eaglei installed it and got the legs working.
after trying your mod to see all panels when i get to where i delete the whole directory, i click del but LE keeps “not responding” and forces me to close it.
and way around that? -
@dthom:

and way around that?Just give it more time, even if it doesn’t respond. LE isn’t the fastest program out there

Just give it more time, even if it doesn’t respond. LE isn’t the fastest program out there
its not that i am closing it out, that is what i am getting.
i click delete, then a window saying not responding appears then i am FORCED to close LE -
i figured a work around that worked for me.
thx -
Since now, in the first post you can find the updated pilot model, fully compatible with the latest update and a little bit fancier.
Again, if you want to remove the torso, do exactly as the Eagle said.
Sorry for the (huge) delay.
Cheers! -
Is there a way to delete the torso without LODEditor? I’m using LE 6.2.3, but I can’t get past step 2, as LE stops responding every time.
-
does this update allow you to see when panning the cockpit?
-
how do i get rid of the body?
i tried falcas way but you clearly say dont delete the XDOF because those are legs?
if i delete 4721 subtree then when loading right before getting into 3d world, bms crashes.this is what i have…please help!!
i was able to do it with the previous version (which i still have the files for)
is there a reason to update to this version or no? shud i just return my old one -
lol~I did exactly as the Eagle said
-
I can’t see your attachment but I can help you. Seems in the new version things are diff. I can send you the old files and assist you from there? Just pm me

A last is there a way to delete the torso with the new files? I faced the same problem as dthom with three root files 4719.XDOF, 4720.XDOF and 4721.Subtree and we couldn’t follow the Eagle procedure that says to delete the 4719 while Harpoon says subtrees with XDOF are made for legs so we don’t have to touch it.

exactly. and when deleting the 4721 subtree, it takes away the torso in LOD but when trying to enter 3d worl BMS crashes. for now i just put the old files back on.
-
You have to select the subtree not the xdof
XDOFs are legs, subtree is the torso. -
I followed exactly the Eagle procedure but deleted the 4721 subtree. I can open BMS without problem but I notice no change at all… legs and torso are still there !!!
