4.34.2 - Q-5N lost all engine power
-
BMS4.34.2, campaign KTO, first campaign.
fly Q-5N for few minutes/ throttle 90%, no high G maneuvor.
then engine output starts to decrease and down to zero. -
I’ve no U2 installed atm., so can you tell me please …
What is your fuel state before the flight (loadout UI)?
What is your fuel state when that happen?
Cheers, :yo:

I gave this a go and had the same happen to me. If the fuel state is >5000lbs and I pitch forward to make AOA negative, the engine stalls when the throttle is pulled to idle. More tests required to find other situations.

I do more tests and have the same result - it happens when i start to dive - whatever fuel/throttle status is, thrust readouts start to decrease and down to zero. it makes this ac unable to do combat maneuvor.
-
more tests…
mig-17/J-5 has the same problem - push to dive and engine failure.
mig-19 variants ok.

Curiously, do you believe these issues are only with human controlled planes or would it also pertain to AI ones as well if this exits with human controlled ones?
-
i don’t have my pc at hand ATM.
it’s easy to test - make a TE, one blue F-16 vs one red Q-5N.
player flies F-16, don’t push Q-5N too hard, let Q-5N do some combat maneuvor, then check it in external enemy ac view, see if thrust down to zero. -

Here also. Engine died with no apparent reason , BUT… heck, I can’t remember what was I flying (Harrier - probably , F18E , F16) … same fuel ~5000 and pitch-down , also happened in inverted case…
Air-restart was OK . simple cutoff/idle.-reminds, similar was happening with Su-33 , cccTw - we had a thread about that , since 4.34…(u1?) , still didn’t have time to test fly it since

only human piloted Q-5N doing negative G maneuvor causes engine failure.
