X56 - How do you program this switch and this wheel - see pic
-
I have the X56 but cannot program this switch (see #1). I clicked on the keymapping I wanted using the alternative launcher, but when the “Awaiting input” was flashing, and I was moving the switch, nothing binded.
The same with the wheel (see #2). I wanted to make that the range nob, Pressed the assigned button, got the “Awaiting input” message, started moving the wheel back and forth, and nothing.
Also,what does #3 do?

Hello Jack. 1. You’ll need something like Joystick Gremlin to use this. BMS doesn’t see/use it. You’ll need to create a virtual device. 2. I use that to turn on/off/brighten/dim the HUD. Use the keystrokes associated with the ICP wheel. 3. Tightens and loosens the throttle push/pull.

For number 1 as with all Saitek mode switches you need to have a Saitek Profile loaded with all modes deleted in order for the mode switched to be recognised as seperate DX buttons
#2 is not an axis but works as a mouse wheel.

For wheel number two it is possible to program it in DX, for my part I have changed the navigation points.
SimNextWaypoint 61 -1 -2 0 0x7 -1
SimPrevWaypoint 62 -1 -2 0 0x8 -1The number 3 wheel is used to manage the hardness of the throttle.
The efficiency is not really visible because the hardness is managed by very sticky grease and turning the ring raises or loosens a device which increases the contact with the grease.
