Question about sam systems in 4.36

Well that is a good point if you are talking about SA-2 and 3.
But Hawk is not set to “Static” so you see those move away from a Objective if needed. But one thing to keep in mind, if the SA-2 and 3 are not on a suitable Objective, there is a very good chance they will not fire.
Plenty of code change on this subject throughout the years. -

Moving just means having the “Moving” flag set.
Ok, didn’t do the coding on this and so am not 100% sure.
But consider the following.SA-2 Battalion is not placed on a Objective (or not SAM capable)
What should the battalion do? As it can’t deploy in the middle of nowhere. Might even not be able to move as its on a tile were no movement is set. (no road)
And so the mentioned feature was created (a long, long time ago)
This to make sure the battalions are always starting on a Objective. For a SAM it should be a SAM capable Objective.
Also setting the flags Ordered and Emitting will give the best chance everything will work as it should. -

I’m very much into testing by myself as much as I can when it comes to that.

Testing without knowing directly from the coder what it should do? I can tell you one thing about that… pretty much useless.
As you might see things and make a conclusion, but in the end something totally different is happening.BMS is way to complex with so many ifs, making a conclusion from testing is nearly impossible

Oh I agree. No conclusion at all
EDIT: also, the coder is sometimes surprised by what I tell him or her.

So true
Plenty of fun and surprises for years -
I’ll make a extra filter setting so you can see only Units which are moving or not. Will come in handy no matter what
