Morphine was kind enough to give me a call and spent almost an hour troubleshooting my .tmc file to get it to work… brilliant support! Thanks very much for the help Morphine!
Now if only there was a way to control the coffeemaker machine downstairs with a shifted-button command…

Morphine Hello, I would like to ask how to release smoke from the plane. I saw that it should be the “S” key on the keyboard marked “Smoke Toogle.”
I’ve noticed that does not work, why? -
Ctrl + S
RAM22
-
It is the “S” key on Morphine’s .key file, not CTRL+S. Working for me.

how does one switch back to A/A mode using this profile after switching to A/G mode?
-
Um, press the AA button on the ICP? How’d you get to A/G mode in the first place? I don’t think there is a HOTAS function for that, you have to use the ICP, right?
-
if you hold the mapped shift button and press TMS up you will be in A/G mode. was just wondering if there was a key that i was missing to get back into A/A mode instead of using the ICP

Assuming you are using my keyfile (Warthog_DX.key), then what you are referring to is pressing Shift-TMS DOWN which cycles A/G Weapons (if different ones are loaded)and if you are in NAV or A/A mode will also take you directly into A/G Mode. It is not a realistic function of the TMS (none of the Shifted functions are) but is included for convenience. As mentioned by Ice in order to get back to NAV mode you would need to press the A/G button on the ICP or to get to A/A, you would need to press A/A on the ICP.

Hi There
I’m having an issue getting the CMD to work propertly. I’ve loaded the DX keys and set up everything on my new Wart Hog. At the moment the CMD switch does nothing. Did I miss a mapping?

Do you mean the CMS hat functions are not working? Can you be a bit more specific about the problem?
-
Hey Morphine,
Thanks for posting back. That is correct the CMS Hat funtions are mapped in the sim but they don’t do anything. I’ve loaded your keys file and in looking at the mapping CMS is mapped to nothing in terms of keys it looks like DX functions. The CMS hat does nothing in the sim. I’ve played around with the different modes and nothing. Perhaps I’m missing something. I’m a little new to the Warthog. I’m used to the Cougar.

You are correct that the CMS is controlled by the Warthog_DX.key file. The TARGET script just leaves them as DX buttons.
Let’s first check that you don’t have a hardware issue with your Stick. Start the script using the TARGET Script Editor and then start the Device Analyzer (it’s in the Tools menu of the Script Editor). With the Device Analyzer running, when you move your CMS, you should see DX buttons 15-18 light up on both the Joystick (on the left side) and the Thrustmaster - Combined device (in the middle). If you don’t see that, then you may have a problem with your hardware.
If the DX buttons on the Stick are working, then you should look in the Warthog_DX.key file and make sure the following lines are in there.
CMS/H4/Z-Axis
SimCMSUp 14 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
SimCMSRight 15 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
SimCMSDown 16 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
SimCMSLeft 17 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
SimSlapSwitch 18 -1 -2 0 0x0 0Also, remember for it to work in the sim, you have to make sure the CMDS is powered on correctly, and all settings set properly. For example, to manually dispense Chaff and or Flares, you need to have the correct program selected. Refer to the BMS Dash-1 for instructions.

Confirmed: Both the Joystick and the Combined Device are working properly and buttons 15-18 are lighting up while running the profile.

The CMD DX appears to be correct within the key file. I will copy it over again clean and reload just to make sure I didn’t touch or corrupt the file but I really don’t think that’s the case.
To be honest it could be user error as I’ve been away from Falcon for some time and a bit new to BMS however I’ve been testing in Instant Action which should have the CMS properly powered. Also it doesn’t matter which program I use or if it’s in Manual Semi or Auto. I will check out the Dash 1 again.
-
Yeah, if the Joystick is sending the DX commands and and the keyfile commands are present, then it sounds like user error
One thing to consider is that your EWS Programs 1-4 are not programmed properly and therefore no chaff or flares are being dispensed. Check the manuals and the EWS setup in the DTC. Good luck!
-
I think you’re right… I have the DTC setup but I don’t remember setting up the bingo stuff and the chaff flare stuff. Sorry about that… I will close the loop but it does sound like I don’t have everything setup. Honestly they should have Defaults setup so new guys to BMS don’t make the same mistake.
-
Okay to officially call it solved…. User error. I totally spaced I didn’t get everything into the DTS so it defaults to 0 Chaff 0 Flare. Super lame of me but know that the profile is working fine.

Hey guys just having a problem with the profile.
I have run the script in TARGET and loaded the keyfile in Falcon but whatever I do the non scripted buttons TMS, DMS, Speed Brake etc. keep triggering the MFD buttons.
The scripted buttons are working fine and I have installed JoyID and set the combined controller to ID 1.
Any help would be appreciated.

Problem solved. For whatever reason the buttons on the joystick were being recognised in BMS as buttons 33-51 which correspond with the MFDs in the keyfile. I deleted the MFD callbacks in the keyfile and modified the button numbers for the joystick and throttle functions.

HI Morphine
The WH is working great and I have even scripted the 5 LEDs to work with the toggle switches on the panel.
Now I want to change a toggle function the panel from the APU to the HMCS and I have a few questions.
First, why in your script are some functions handled in the key file (speed brake) but other functions are handled by the script (APU)?Second, if I use a key combo to define the HMCS on and off in Hex, and put it at the bottom of your key file in notepad++ and then save the key file, will that key combo show up in the game list of keys? The present key file only has a brightness command and not an on/off command, but I found them in the list of callbacks.
Third, do I have to script the HMCS on and off functions to the APU toggle or else how do I associate that function with the APU toggle?

O/T : I’m considering in buying either the Warthog or the x65 for BMS mainly, and still in doubt though.
It’s something like versatility and issues of x65 vs quality of the Warthog (A10!), and the last is what I want to have confirmed as it remains Cougar family after all
So I’m interested in how the Warthog is holding together and if there any drawbacks that you guys here now of. Heads up appreciated. On topic :Looking at the profile I’m missing the cursor control on the throttle, how do you operate this? Or is it implemented on Slew Control button ?
