Solved Could not create a device on adapter (new)
-
Hello everyone,
I have been away (and like @Icer ) and went back to fly a mission and ‘could not create a device on adapter’ message popped up.
I have read the previous issues and how those who encountered the issue solved it.
Unfortunately, in my case I have attempted all recommended tips and none to them worked for me at all.
- Uninstalled PhysX driver and reinstalled the Nvidia drivers (Display Driver Uninstaller & NVCleanstall ), same result
- Disabled HP Reverb2 in Device Manager, and powered headset off, then re-boot with the headset powered off, same result
- Tried HolographicShell, same result
- Uninstalled and reinstalled mixed reality for steamVR, same result
- Uninstalled anad reinstalled Falcon BMS 4.37.3 (which I never liked it), same result
Falcon BMS works when I disable the headset, and then reboot the PC, but then VR headset can’t be used.
It would be very much appreciated any thoughts or any tip I havent yet tried - thanks a lot

@cougar56th it is working now
I was running the same command on a .bat file and that would not work because I did not run it as Admin.
You can consider the issue SOLVED. Thank you

NOTE: please don’t ping me just to get attention…

It’s been quite a while but I think I installed the PhysX driver for some reason to get around the issue. Since then I have moved on to using the Varjo Aero so not sure if it was just luck or coincidence.

@MaxWaldorf hi there
sound devices seem to be working just fine I have checked and all are ok. That does not seem to be the issue.Falcon BMS is absolutely not taking the VR headset at all and will only work if disable as I checked and it ran like normal. Once the VR headset is up and running then I get ‘could not create device on adapter’ followed clicking launch buttom on Alt launcher.
VR headset works on DCS I checked that too and no issues i mean it works as usual.
VR headset always worked well I never got this message before ever since I started to use G2 on Falcon BMS 4.37 and what I did was to be away for 3 weeks that’s all and I can’t believe it jsut stopped working out of the sudden .
Believe me I have tried and followed all actions that others who encountered the same are recommending and even re installed window 11 but nothing seems to work ! it is quite frustrating.
I am not sure If I am missing anything so it is again much appreciated if anyone can suggest something else in support to help fix this issue. Thank you
