New X55 owner, some issues and questions…

Firstly thank for all the replies. In hindsight I cant believe I made such a meal out of assigning the rotaries!!
Pretty straightforward when you know what axis or rotation button is which!
I’d like to get both the nipple and adjacent slider working too if possible so will look into that.
Nipple for cursor control and slider for my air brakes…
Thanks again all.
Best wishes…

I mapped my pinky slider on the rear of the throttle to open and down to close air brakes. The front slider on the throttle I used as a fast switch to dogfight mode but for DF slider I did use the software….

Here’s one way to have the nipple control the radar cursor. In HUD software:
Set up each x/y axis to three bands. Assign the two bands at either end of the axis to around 20% (although YMMV, can set the band % to whatever you like, but leave the middle band as large as possible to avoid controls leaking into each other. No commands will be added to the middle bands). Each of these 20% bands contain the keyboard control for cursor up/down/left/right depending on which axis you’re setting up and which band you’re editing. See screenshot below:
Each of those 20% bands are set up with advanced commands like so:
The slider set up is alot easier, but unfortunately isn’t actually an axis itself. It’s just another button. Forward is button down, backward is button up.
So I just use the keyboard command to toggle AFBrakes as an advanced command, so it presses the key once when set forward, and presses the key once again when it is backward:
