Mission Commander beta release

Nope, it does not count the first line as an AC.
The difference is that MC does this check now and reports if there is something wrong.
It reports what is wrong in the message. You can ignore this message completely as it does have effect for a normal user.
Its a feature for theater builders.Or you can solve this by letting MC create a new list.
To do this, check the list on the left and make sure all AC are selected that need to be flyable.
Than create new Validacand save.Gr Falcas
that is great because ive been copying Balkans Valid AC and adding it to my own then changing the number at the top just to get the f14 aggressor to work.
its a default bms jet but only works in Balkans. Now I Know the correct an easier way. Your Mission Commander is Great. I like the station ILS list upgrades to. seeing the runway you are editing makes it a breeze. -

The one where I asked if there was a MC guide and you said write your own - hey why didnât I think of that ??? ho yes I remember know its because I donât know how it works, which is why I asked the question in the first place.
Silly me !!!
-
I didnât told you that m8. I said we (including me) should help and start writing a manual for this wonderful tool.
And Falcas those 20% left might need it most to produce what 80% will use.Sent from TapaTalk

my misunderstanding - happy to do the âidiot testingâ on any documentation that comes out - if I can understand it anyone can - I make an excellent âidiotâ as I have just demonstrated ;0)
-
Well if you have the OldFarts badge no prob⌠all other are we are notâŚ
-
I am indeed the proud owner of an âOldFartsâ badge - I just cant remember where I put it

Ironman,
Mission commander was basically just a tool to change load outs in missions a while back but it seems like I blinked and then it was a genetically enhanced Tacedit on steroids!
This is a very useful tool thanks to Falcas but a manual would be a mountain of paperwork. Much of it is doing the same thing Tacedit did but more user friendly. Try messing around with it and make a list of the aspects you dont understand and maybe we can start Users User manual from there. -
Please take this as a positive reply and I do read you post as very positive.
So first thanks!Mission commander was basically just a tool to change load outs in missions a while back but it seems like I blinked and then it was a genetically enhanced Tacedit on steroids!
However⌠what you write here is really not true. Except for the steroids part
MC has been a TacEdit replacement from the first public release and TacEdit has not been used in the dev team for years. If someone is using old tools and just now starting to discover that new tools are availible (and better) what can I sayâŚ
Anyway, I see you post as a complement, so thanks again.

sorry to misrepresent MC. That blink I was talking about was me being out of the loop offline for several years. I only remembered that load outs was all I did with MC way, way back then so I just inadvertently belittled your effort from that time. Yes I am just discovering how nice MC is over the last year or so and am very pleased.

Why does the campaign order me to redeploy upon start, after I manually created squadrons?
How can I avoid this? -
Either go to Advanced Squadron Options (flags) on MC (or TACEDIT)⌠and tickmark the option âNo PlanââŚ
âŚOr fully disable any âredeploymentâ on BMS (any campaign in any theatre), on the Falcon Config file (not recomended)
-
Doesnât this have to do with squadrons set by HQ?

Redeployment is caused by being too close to the FLOT.
So how close is the squadron to the FLOT in your case?Gr Falcas
-
Damn close:
Ramon, Eilat, Odva(or whatever City with âOâ, just northwest of Eilat).
I have since changed the custom sqn airfields to Hatzor and Nevatim. All is well now, no redeployment. -
The campaign engine is smart enough that the enemy will not take the squadron when there is a risk that the airbase will be overrun. So it redeploys the squadron further away, if possible.

Human Sqns (no HQ set) will redeploy as well under those situations.

Iâve been trying to make a early 80s campaign and swapping out units and weapons to fit the timeline. When editing airbase/squadron weapon availability, i can change the current availability of weapons without any trouble, but cannot affect the maximum. If the airbase receives a resupply, will the weapons i have set to zero reset? Is there a way to remove certain weapons from being resupplied to airbases?
-
Yes to both.
Weapons⌠airframes⌠You can set them below its nominal values⌠but after a few hours/days, they will recover to the eståndar values.
Only way is to change those values on the DB itself.
