F-22 for Falcon BMS Creator: Fabrizio Fraccaroli. Myself.

This is a very good work. I’ve been using it for the last weeks and it works very neat for a WIP.
You can rampstart and completely fly in it. There are just details the one remaining to be done.
Thumb up to you Metalhead, thank you!

Please my friend forgive me about my ignorance.
Are you telling me that the stick of the F22 have a wrong animation , and it rotates too much for pitch and roll animations? If you answer is yes, then I say that i can disable it, because I tried to put limits in those animations. I tried to limit them from negative values to positive one, but it does not work.
BTW i wanted to make that question here, and I will enjoy it here and Ask…Is it possible to “use” negative values in the limiters for the Xdofs?
If is there anyone who can answer this question, please do this for me.
Thanks in advanceI know that the stick (F16), it can be move about one-quarter of an inch, very very small move; the F22 is kind of the same.
See this quote of the page that I send to you.
Hands-On Throttle and Stick (HOTAS)
The F-22 features a side-stick controller (like an F-16) and two throttles that are the aircraft’s primary flight controls. The GEC-built stick is located on the right console and there is a swing-out, adjustable arm rest. The stick is force sensitive and has a throw of only about one-quarter of an inch. The throttles are located on the left console. Both the stick and the throttles are high-use controls during air combat. To support pilot functional requirements, the grips include buttons and switches (that are both shape and texture coded) to control more than 60 different time-critical functions. These buttons are used for controlling the offensive (weapons targeting and release) and defensive systems (although some, like chaff and flares, can operate both automatically and manually) as well as display management.

Tell me what you think that need to be done. I appreciate “criticism”, advices, and suggestions. Fell free to say.
I will try to do everything that I can with the “tools I have”. ( I can’t make miracles) Keep it in mind…
Best regards

MetalheadThanks for hearing us out Metalhead!
Well, one detail about the cockpit is that if you are using TrackIR, the hud gets out of the glass if you move sideways (like the hud being projected over the air, instead over the glass).
It could be helpful if the hud crystal had a slightly green texture or something, because sometimes when it is sunny the hud projection gets lost with the clear skies.
Also I think there are some buttons that work, but doesnt animate (like the volume controls).
One last detail is the AI, that always flies with their missle doors open as they don’t seem to know how to close them. I don’t know if this is fixable though, as it has more to do with the AI than your work
Still, this cockpit is a masterwork! Great great job.

Thank you…
TIR issues i can not fix. sorry…
Hud: I have read in somewhere something about “real” pilots complaining about the hud, when flying in sunny days. The same problem, but in RL. I believe, There must be a way to change the colors of the Hud, but I can’t remember now what keys you must press in your keyboard.
New animations will be added as soon as possible.
You are correct about The AI, and also correct that I can not do anything about it. The best is, do not look at them, focus on your task.
All comunity need to know, or remember, that the Falcon BMS, is a F16 simulator, and the F22 is based on the F16, In other words… It is almost a F16 inside the F22 cockpit…Thanks again
Best regards

May be for the AI if you inverted the animation…

Well, to help a little with the wingman missile doors issue, I’ve found a funny work around.
If you instruct him to “Drop Stores” (Menu W, W, 8 ) he will not drop his stores but instead just close the missile doors. The downside is that the “Drop Stores” command can only be isntructed once per flight. If he later opens the doors (due to combat or something) and he is not able to close them by himself he wont be able to “Drop Stores” again and will continue with the doors open for the rest of the flight. Not a real solution, but a workaround.
As soon as we take off I usually instruct him to rejoin formation, fence out (for him to turn on his navigation lights), close in and drop stores… this way we can do some nice formation flying
Its a shame that the TrackIR issue is unfixable still, the cockpit is great!
Obrigada Metalhead! This cockpit is a great job, I’ll follow it closely

Thank you, I will try that too…
I do not have TIR,then I tried to use “Free track”, with a webcam, but the result was awful everything shakes in the screen. I also tried the Face track no IR, but The result was worst than the last. The only time it worked more or less resonable, was flying free falcon. and in the FF 5.55, the HUd did not move as you mentioned above.BTW: “obrigada” is said by women. “obrigadO” is said by men
In portuguese, almost all words ended in “O” are “male” and almost all words ended in “a” are female… But thank you anyway (obrigado você…) -

Can you explain better please, how to invert the animation? What do you mean?

I don´t know how 3d max works, but I suppose that your 3d model has a first position by default door closed, for example, but the AI use that default position bad, it uses opened, then if your 3D model defaul position is the inverse , open, could this fix the problem?

How about releasing bombs with the doors colosed?
I believe it will not work -
or the animation could be a full open-close, not just open and close, when you push the fire missile button, the door opens, and a fews second after it is closes automatically

I wish I could do that, but I can not. I tried to find something related to the missiles, but they appear to be controled by the *.exe file, then I can not do anything. At least for now
I almost break my brain ( be crazy) doind that…
sorry, as I said before, I can not make miracles… -
installed this last night! its a blast to fly, thanks metalhead!

I can not make miracles…

-
Thank you…The good pit !!!

My friend Fabrizio,
you already have done a great work with the cockpit of F-22 ;).
Thank you very much for your time and your hard efforts!
Your friend,

I am writting a tutorial: How to make your OWN 3d cockpit for Falcon BMS.
Since I will stay out of falcon in this year, because I am going to move to another city, I will work too few in the Falcon files and mods, then people will have a little help for making they own cockpit. It is true that the document will be very basic, less information that you would think it will be, but it is more that I had when making the F22. All you have to do is READ carefully, 1, 2, 3, or a 1000 times if necessary to understand, and making the pits.
I am putting together some videos That I found in the internet, and other documents related to the issue.
I will be available for helping people answering questions by email, or PM, but F22 updates will take a long time, I will not promise any update in this year.
I really hope people understand the tutorial.
Best regards

Great!!!
I hope see your pits in the BMS Default install
I believe the pits may be, if the developers accept them.
Except the external aircraft, that I am not reaching the value of 30000 triangles.
