YAME64 suite

Worst case, let me know when you are available and maybe I can take a look via Teamviewer & Teamspeak.
FD, I’m afraid I’m at that point now!! Worst case scenario. My YAME screen has stopped completely. It all started after I updated windows to Creators Update. Unfortunately I didn’t have restore point turned on and now I am stuck. Helios is working but not YAME.
Is there anything you can do if will be appreciated. I cannot fly BMS unless I have YAME and Helios.

PikaHi Pika,
I’m willing to help out but it sounds like a Windows issue and not really a Yame issue? I have very little experience with Windows (Mac & Linux user except for my Win7 game pc), so I’m afraid I won’t be of any use in a Creators update issue :s

Don’t really know what CU changed. I have my development PC that received the CU and all works well, the other PC has not been updated and works well.
Maybe is something related to your antivirus (if any) or firewall (if using networked yame setup).
Just guessing, so sorry if not very usefull. -

PikaAre you 100% sure that Helios is working correctly? IME, some buttons were working but most were NOT.
Bottom line, it was a pain to get stuff working and it was WORTH THE HASSLE to re-wipe everything and get back to Win10AU.I’m here to play BMS, not to test Windows versions
-
Thanks everyone for your help,
Unfortunately I did not have restore point turned on so I did not get a restore point created.
What I’m going to do is to reinstall windows from scratch. It shouldn’t be that hard since I use this rig only for BMS.
Again, thanks everyone for your input.

Ice, yes I am sure all the buttons work in Helios.
I second that! I’m here to fly BMS not test windows neither.

Running (a more recent version of) YAME on the creators update perfectly here.
Whether you have restore point on or not, you should be able to revert to a previous version of Windows. Start > Settings > Update & security > Recovery. Click the get started below “get back to a previous version of Windows 10”.
Not sure of it will be flawless of courseSent from my LG-H818 using Tapatalk

PikaCreator update changed on my PC firewall config that stop YAME traffic.
check it well, check admin permission before a radical win reinstall… -
For many years i used MFDE worked always great and it still does
Today i installed YAME64 on my new system. I5 6600k, GTX1070 8GB, 16GB Memory, falcon maxed out,
I must say GREAT piece of software :headb:
With 2 projectors for the mainscreen (2x 1920x1080) and 2 MFD screens (1024x768) i get a framerate in bms with targetpod on of 100fps !Thanks for your time, effort of this great software !:bowd:

Thanks Scorpion,
I was able to revert to previous version and therefore avoid reinstalling windows.
Now YAME is working as before. I still do not know where the problem is though.
Thanks for the help!!

Hello Ulti,
Very nice pit indeed. I want to follow on your footsteps!!I used to use MFDE but found that YAME is so much stabler (in my system at least) and the Clock option was what won me over!! Eagerly awaiting the next version!
So now I use it on my main touch screen and then I extract to a second computer for additional Map and HUD extractions as well, and the best thing is very stable and low on FPS hit.I am embarking on building my own pit. The idea is to build it and install it on a 6 DoF Stewart Platform eventually.
Maybe a pipe dream but I know is possible.I am having a hard time deciding how to build the frame first. Like you, I want to do it from MDF. I have access to a CNC so I know at least I can get that going.
If only I could get my hands on a good set of CAD plans.
Any ideas?Pika
PS: I’ve tried several times to join Viperpits.org. After answering the tricky questions, they tell me that they will contact me by e-mail.
I haven’t gotten a response yet. Do you know anybody at viperpits.org that could help?PPs: Never mind about viperpits.org I just found out about contacting Romanski

Very nice MFD and gauge extractor. Looking throught the manual I didn’t notice if there was a way to resize gauges by dragging them or is just a pixel resizing only?

Yep there is, go to Client, Windows, Select the window, and hit edit gauges.
This will open the window like you are extracting but they will all have labels.
Hover over the gauge, and you can click drag with mouse or use arrow keys to move it around.
Hold down ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel to change size in X, shift and mouse scroll will size y.
Esc key and save will close. -

A labor of love for the Sim and community, definitely!
