Cougar throttle wires

If you mean the yellow one that is loose from the other flat cable and coming from the base, it is attached to one of the three long screws that hold the grip in place, between the grip itself and the nut.(I think the one in the middle). I can’t remember if it was soldered to a washer or not.
I hope I explained myself good enough.
I opened a year ago…
CheersEDIT: the one in the middle shown here:

Reopen this quite old post as I have not found where that yellow cable must be attached. I mean the one in the pic
Plus I need an extension for the flat cable, does anyone know where I can find one?

In my cougar the mass cable was disconnected and still worked, so I left it disconnected. A friend of mine has one with the mass connected, and it was screwed to the metal casing.
But maybe you mean another mass cable then I’m talking about so don’t take my word for it that it will work unconnectedI buy my flat cables from Conrad: http://www.conrad.be/ce/nl/overview/2510430/Lintkabels
Strange enough, the cable in one of my 2 Cougars seemed a lot longer then I thought when I took everything out: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vqgll03jeulnnko/throttle-5.png?dl=0 -

There were two grounding points for the TQS:
1. Older TQS only had the one grounding point as shown in the opened handle picture shown above. Reason being, is the handle is isolated electrically from the base and its pcb by the plastic throttle arm. The yellow ground strap links the ground planes of the handle with the base.
2. Newer TQS had the handle ground point plus another where the external USB cable came into the base. It came from the USB cable and was grounded to one of the pcb mounting points which was also the pcb’s ground plane. This was added after some 10,000 or so serial numbers because the pcb was a floating ground which made it vulnerable to power spikes. Also added was a ferrite noise choke on the USB cable. -
Thank you av8r and all others. I have the newer type with two grounds. My grip yellow groung cable is disconnected, but now i tjink i know where to wire. Now i need only an easy way to make the flat cable more long.
