Copy the package’s dds texture files from the “Skins” folder to the “…Falcon BMS 4.34\Data\TerrData\Objects” folder
there are not images in texture in this directory?
there are textures here? C:\Falcon BMS 4.34\Data\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObjI created the parents directory here? >is that cool?

there are textures here? C:\Falcon BMS 4.34\Data\TerrData\Objects\No, the folder to copy the textures to is \Falcon BMS 4.34\Data\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj overwrite there the textures and delete the same dds files from KoreaObj_HiRes folder.
But be sure you have made a backup of: \Falcon BMS 4.34\Data\TerrData\Objects folder and \Falcon BMS 4.34\Data\Sim folder before install.
I created the parents directory here? >is that cool?
No the Extract_DB.bat will create the parents folder in wich you install the canopy and wing model but outside the sim folders.
Maybe create a new one in the desktop, put there all the files except the folders (KoreaObj - KoreaObj_HiRes) present in: \Falcon BMS 4.34\Data\TerrData\Objects folder (from bmsrack.dat to rack.dat files)
Then add to this folder, Build_DB.bat, Extract_DB.bat from JanHas “More_Manuals” folder and 3ddb_builder.exe, FreeImage.dll from \Falcon BMS 4.34\Tools\3DDBBuilder folder.
Now run the Extract_DB.bat and let him to extract the database when the window popup close install the models put 8042.bmp to textures folder and run Build_DB.bat to rebuild the database.
When it ends copy just KoreaObj.HDR, KoreaObj.LOD and KoreaObj.TEX and put them in \Falcon BMS 4.34\Data\TerrData\Objects and overwrite.
as last thing remember to copy the two afm.dat files to \Falcon BMS 4.34\Data\Sim\Acdata folder…
and you’re done.

Sorry, I still can get it to load correctly?
maybe someone can better explain in a simpler way? cant believe I cant get this to work? wish there was a batch file that auto loads the models.
I went step by step still no luck?:yield: -
Before you can add the new models you need to copy the 8042.bmp file from my install manual package and put it in the empty “Textures” folder. Check the theater folder “KoreaOBJ” for the highest dds number and tweak the bmp if needed when there is a dds with a higher number. 8042 is the highest number in the current BMS 4.34 KoreaOBJ folder.
please explain?

do i need to make on 8043?

do i need to make on 8043?
As I understand it.
If you have a dds file with a number greater than 8042 in the koreaobj folder, for example 8043, you must rename the file 8042 to 8043.bmp and put it in the empty texture folder.
But if you are installing these models on a vanilla bms installation you don’t need to edit that file.

Yeah, I did not edit it? Weird that all my block 52 texture are messed up.
its like they have the wrong UV maps or model?I wish someone would create a video of how to install JanHas stuff!
Simple for BMS veterans I’m sure! but there are way to many steps to add his stuff guys.

You could try this - has a few screenshots
Edit: - Note Path was wrong in the last sentence - should just be \objects
-
Thanks Migbuster,
will give it a try
-
final step paste here correct > <drive>:\Falcon_BMS_434_1\Data\TerrData\Objects</drive>

in the objects folder?
Thanks

Sure? You seem to missed the F-16D Block 40 that was released an hour ago.
-
if I install the Block 40 will it overwrite the 52?
looks like we are overwriting one file everytime in the objects folder? -
Make sure to rename the lods for the DM40. Otherwise it won’t work.

I fairly a modding NEWB! please elaborate if that is okay!
This is the only place to save a aircraft specific model > C:\Falcon BMS 4.34\Data\TerrData\Objects
how do you have Jans block 40 and 52 at the same time by overwriting the same files?
:noidea:
