WDP 3.5.8 not showing threats on Korea map

When I install and use WDP 3.5.8, the threats do not show up on the map. Auto PPT does not work because there are no threats. However, search radars do show up properly.

I downgraded to WDP 3.5.3 and threats show up properly, as expected.

Same happened to me but i think that this “problem” is because JSTARS is not in flight during the moment of you flight.

In the map screen make sure all of the SAM threats are selected. When I updated to the newer WDP versions it deselected them by default and I wasn’t showing threat circles either.

I am having a problem also. The map shows SA-2s, but WDP 3.5.8 does not populate the map. Everything is checked. I was flying a tactical engagement developed by an individual for KTO and Battle for Balkans. My problem could be the individual TE only.

This is the same problem I am having with the Korea campaign as well, but it pertains to all threats, not just SA-2s. All of the threats are checked, they just aren’t present on the map at all.

When I downgraded to 3.5.3, the exact same mission and package shows all of the threats fine, so it is likely not the campaign causing the problem.

When you mention the map do you mean the map of wdp or the map in falcon?

For me, it does not show up on the WDP map. I can see it on the 2D map in falcon.

Thanks for the update. Now everything is working again. I am now able to see SAMs on individually created missions on the WDP map.

I’ll post the question here as this seems to be the appropriate thread. I designed a TE with enemy Threats and sent the TAC file to someone to plan the routing. They then saved the TE as a new name and sent it back to me to view. When I load it up in WDP the Auto PPT function only shows some of the PPT’s and the ones that it does show are only in the target area. There are a lot of threats on the ingress once crossing the DMZ. I find this odd. maybe someone can explain this to me better. Does WDP show what’s out there PERIOD…or what has been seen by JSTARS/AWACS/RECON ETC. When I initially built the TE everything was there. SAM Sites are now not showing up… the only change was the time. 16 Minutes has elapsed in the TE since he started working on it. I still see all the SAM sites in the 2d screen on Falcon but AUTO PPT isn’t working and all boxes are checked.

Sorry, but this in not the correct thread, but that doesn’t matter much. There is a seperate WDP thread
As this thread is about a very old version of WDP… which version are you using here?
The latest version is 3.6.4

What you see can be very normal or there might be something wrong. Can’t say from what you write.
However, the intel officer has been proven to work correctly for a long time.
The intel officer will provide you with the yellow circles. These are SAMs that are spotted, active and able to shoot. (The radar is still availible)

But you are talking about the auto PPT function, this is only selecting those SAMs given by the intel officer and will be selected depending on the distance to the STPTs.

So which one of the 2 is not working?

Ok well that makes sense, if they have to be spotted. They do show up in the TE as icons, which from what I understand means they’ve been spotted however in the WDP It’t apparently not spotting them on some of the TE’s that I build. However what you say makes sense, so i’m sure it’s working right.

Secondly, someone gave me steerpoint lines file and ppt file and I loaded them into WDP and saved them to my DATA CART but when i go into the TE the PPT and SPTlines are not there.

Now do I have to load a specific TE into WDP then load the spt lines and PPT before I save to the DC?

Or possibly can I load a Data Card file that someone has provided me first then load the ppt and stpt lines file and save to DTC?

It was really weird. Some PPTS were there, then the next time i tried it they were gone, and the Steerpoint lines never connected correctly. Others had no trouble but some did. I have WDP pointed to my logbook and I have the latest version as of today.

Sounds to me like maybe the something was getting messed up with loading the PPT and SPT Lines files.
