RE: TvT between v.Wings-Squadrons
@Guard_85 said in TvT between v.Wings-Squadrons:
@Atsalis Allright, if you have any suggestions to make the TvT better, you are free to bring them, and we will look into them, but several years of doing this have somehow given us some do’s and dont’s
Happy holidays, and happy new year!
Honestly, I completely understand and respect what you have gathered through the years. Experience through actual act is irreplaceable!
But again, what I propose is a totally different aspect of aerial employment in a large engagement that replicates a full scale war, what perfectly runs during BMS campaigns.
This would lead us to new experiences and conclusions, if we would all respect the new ROEs.After holidays I will explain a little more of the concept.
Best wishes!

RE: TvT between v.Wings-Squadrons
Guys, don’t take it wrong. I don’t want to deteriorate current TvT.
But it is a totally different thing to start one that is based on Squadron participants from the beginning.Of course we can team up with the participants that already fly TvT which is something I was planning to do, but I am away at holidays. But again it is something totally different than having Squadrons gathering for one cause.
Happy New Year everybody, Best wishes BMS!

RE: TvT between v.Wings-Squadrons
Hello, best wishes to everyone!
My point is to gather interest about a totally different perspective of a Team vs Team engagement.
What runs up to now is very challenging, flexible and interesting. But it doesn’t bring Squadrons to team up.
The details are not the point right now, the main idea is what matters.
So the main idea is to have Squadrons joining and working all together.
If there would be interest around that, then we would try to resolve problems like Time Zones. -
TvT between v.Wings-Squadrons
Hello,
our beloved BMS has been crowded with so many virtual Wings and Squadrons, all of them striving for improvement as much as possible, up to the point of professional perfection.
I am coming from one of those. As such, I would like to raise a suggestion of a TvT round with Squadrons participating, instead of individuals.
Strictly Squadrons, without singletons, without uncoordinated flights.
An event that would bring the Squadrons together to meet, join, work together.
Cooperate, plan and execute TACTICS, not just kill logs.
Ideally I would personally like that to run with only human controlled aircrafts. Is there any interest for such a TvT ?

RTT Networked, Unable to receive
Re: RTT Server "Unable to start network"
Hello,
anybody knows how to get the displays of my mate to watch his MFDs during his flight?
Or point me to the solution if it is described anywhere. Many thanks!

RE: Air Defence Radar Stations Network in BMS
If there was any luck on this logic, it would also be very useful to have the same option for the SAM systems as well, being able to chose the system on the map and see blind sectors caused from the ground around it.

RE: Air Defence Radar Stations Network in BMS
Thanks @molnibalage
I am talking about completely functional GCI from the ground radars, working the same way like the great AWACS system we have right now.
It would be very realistic to have specific frequency to contact, the same as AWACS, and working or not working radar if it would have been destroyed from opposite force. The UI now showing some very basic coverage, it would be a great improvement for planning purposes if it could show us blind sectors at chosen altitudes/distances, if those were implemented of course.

RE: [F4RADAR] Lightweight standalone radar application
By saying tracks I am referring to the aircraft symbol on the F4RADAR, along with all it’s data and history dots.
According IFF, if the codes where available in the shared memory, would it be easier for you to bring them up?
Oh, and one more,
can we have the bullseye indication being shown continuesly close to the cursor? Many thanks!

RE: Air Defence Radar Stations Network in BMS
This is an example of radar coverage, and the way it is affected by the terrain shape.
And then I dream of this button in UI map, showing the coverage OF EACH ground radar separately, at certain altitudes that we would chose for our mission planning, instead of the coverage we have nowadays as seen below…

Air Defence Radar Stations Network in BMS
Hello everyone!
With all the respect to the whole BMS community, I would kindly like to share my thoughts - and yes request if possible - according the way GCI network works in BMS.
As most of us know, if for example we have an AWACS covering us, we have a great picture and support of what is happening around our position and way beyond that.
But what happens when that asset goes RTB or not exist at all?
We are all alone, which is something that would happen under some circumstances, but not the way it happens now.So I would like to call a Heads-Up, and ask if there could be in the future (the nearest the better ) a development so the Radar Sites in BMS would work the same way like AWACS, and they would all be interconnected into one Central Control.
If you add in all this, ground blind sectors, earth curvature, and finally maximum distance coverage,
we could have a great, realistic GCI network working in BMS.
If we would assume there was such a network implemented in BMS, then we would meet the circumstances mentioned earlier, where you could find yourself out of the GCI network’s coverage, either because of distance, or ground/radar fov limitations. Then what?
Then, if @Tumbler31 would like this concept, perhaps we could have F4Radar application giving us the picture coming from this GCI Network, very much more realistic, instead of being able to see the track of every asset flying, either high or low altitudes, in the terrain or above sea.
Another option, the AI DCA fighters would be able to commit on their opponents regardless if they have spotted them with their radars, outside their aircraft’s radar maximum distance. Just with the guidance of the GCI along with appropriate criteria.
If we have L16 functional some time, then all this picture could be shared amongst all L16 capable participants, further more than just ground based radar sites. Fighter aircrafts, the sites, AWACS, even ships could then get a total big picture coverage all together, and vice versa use it to engage targets as necessary.
That’s all my simple and small request… thanks for your time…
Best regards with great respect!

RE: [F4RADAR] Lightweight standalone radar application
Tumbler,
we love your application and we use it much!
Another couple things if possible,-
we would love to be able to see the IFF code on the tracks together with all the other info,
-
it would be very helpful to be able to change colors on each track, after the team color set by options
and a notice, after a while, for some reason the scope goes totally empty for some seconds or minute and then goes back full picture again. If this happens to all users, then it would be nice if you could have a look there, to fix that perhaps.
Many thanks and you have our great respect for this work!

@Fish44 Sorry, just noticed your post. I will try to give you details during weekend.

RE: Solved: Recording videos in VR? Sync monitor to VR FOV?
Hello Zohardv,
I am recording VR video from HP Reverb G2 with OBS Studio, free and great software.
For the G2 I have to run SteamVR and I set OBS to record the SteamVR window, so that’s all, I am done.
Does that help? -
RE: 4.37.2 - VR - At night
Hello!
Yesterday I had my first night flight with the VR, and I had exactly the same feeling.
It was a dark night with lets say “light noise”, causing this fog feeling.
Yes, it lowers the total VR experience, but again VR is outstanding, even with such disadvantages.
My headset is the HP Reverb G2, which I am generally very happy with it.
But when I have the chance, I will go for some even better.
Until then, I really enjoy the experience of this great VR feature 4.37 brought us, as if I am discovering flight sim from the begining… -
RE: VR and vision issues
You can change HMCS eye, so it is displayed on your left eye, from the Falcon BMS.cfg file located in C:\Falcon BMS 4.37\User\Config path,
but don’t know about the cursor… -
RE: VR and vision issues
Hello,
I am very good here, HMCS is normally displayed on right eye, and cursor is very clear to use (don’t remember which eye but works fine).
My device is HP Reverb G2. Perhaps it would help to mention yours too. -
RE: Middle East Theater 128 for 4.37
Hello.
Would the theater be compatible with Update 2 that was released?
