You should totally give credit to the pilot across from you for being so photogenic Demo ;)! Pictures from the same flight. Only thing different is just a HG skin Brief Recap, these are from our WSF flight this past weekend and the mission was to attack an island building operation from REDLAND without the use of datalink. 3 A2G kills for the both of us, the rest of the package did quite well for the most part except for us losing 1 jet out of 16 in the package, but hey you can’t win em’ all.
Flying Demo’s wing.

Thanks guys I’ll give it a shot and you cannot set negative integers as it’ll kick back something like 62000+ damage instead

Hello all,
I thought I would reach out to the collective brain bank that is the BMS forums. In the DB I have made a copy of the AIM120B/C and placed their damage to ‘0’ so that I can fire them at a target or a friend can fire them at another friendly aircraft in a TE for missile avoidance training. I know some of you will ask, why not use invulnerability? However, I would like to keep invulnerability turned off. Anyways, even with the damage set to ‘0’ the missile will still hit (which is what I want) but it will still damage the avionics in the jet. Any ideas?

Recruiting is open at our wing. Info is below if you are interested in joining or go to our recruiting page. You can also check out some of flights on our Youtube Channel. If you have a question, just send Fulcrum a PM. Thx
Just wanted to bump this as the new CO of the training side of things here that our recruiting window for the European area has opened up more in regards to a wait time for an IP assignment is no longer an issue.

Operation Phantom Mission 1 by Demo in ITO V1.0
Our flight from last weekend. Mission files and briefing included in the download link.
DOWNLOAD MISSION FILES
13 x F-16C-30
4 x F/A-18C
1 x F-16C-30 for a dedicated server slot (DCA flight)Can be flown in single player. The AI will do their jobs. It’s not a difficult mission. The challenge is more about how you execute it than anything. If we were to fly it again in MP, I would adjust the push times a little to get more spacing. Was a bit bunched up. I’d also do custom weather but I ran out of time. Feel free to edit. Thx
Briefing and Highlights Video (I know went overboard with the dramatic music but the mission required radio silence so it was boring to listen to datalink chirps and the RWR the entire time and I added music)
Operation Phantom Mission 2 by Demo in ITO V1.0.1
Put the mission files in the Israel campaign folder but I don’t know if ITO TEs before Uri and team updated it can be used in the current version.
Here is a mission we did last weekend though in the same series of missions, and this uses the current version of ITO with Update 1. I didn’t spend a lot of time on it but the guys said it was fun working that city at night with all the ground forces going at it. Use the laser IR pointer and buddy lasing where needed.
Summary: Friendly forces are attacking a city to retake it from terrorists. Fly there, check in with the FAC. He will assign you a killbox to work (if in MP) and your job is to soften up the artillery/rockets and captured armor before our ground forces get there, then continue to provide support as they attempt to overrun the city. The two packages have to provide air support for one hour from 0300 to 0400. The briefing explains how we did that with some flights refueling before going in and then holding until other flights came off (I limited it to 4 flights on target at a time not counting the FAC). It is not a difficult mission. There is very limited AAA/AA/MANPADs and no enemy air threats (there are some enemy helicopters but there are also friendly Apaches working so be careful what you shoot). The mission is more about discipline not killing friendlies when they get mixed in and staying deconflicted with other blue forces.
BRIEFING FILE LINK
*Note, we changed Mudhen to be Vipers instead of F-15Es because nobody signed up to fly them, and the Hornet flights were moved to land because the carrier was causing issues in ITO.10 x F-16C-50
4 x F/A-18C
3 x Mirage 2000D
1 x F-15E dedicated server DCAflight that is airborne (we eject him before humans enter 3D)Briefing Preview
INI file is included in mission files for the kill boxes 1BNW, 1BSW, 1BNE, 1BSE, leaving one STPT line for marking a tanker or other targets
Desert Thunder V3.0 By Fulcrum in ITO V1.0.1
DOWNLOAD MISSION FILES
16 x F-16I+CFT
1 x F-15 for a dedicated server slot (DCA flight)
This is the start of V3 of Operation Desert Thunder. The mission itself isn’t very difficult, but when you have 16 vipers trying to strike a target at the same time the airspace can get a little crowded. It can be flown offline with a few edits. One thing we discovered during the flight is that coordination is required for those wanting to cross the airfield’s runways in order to not hold up the package. If I were to fly it again, I would probably spread out the departure times a little more.
Greetings all,
Some of the mission creators at the 1st VFW thought that we would share our missions with you guys as we fly them so that everyone can enjoy them. In each post we will outline how many players the mission has slots for, whether or not it can be flown offline, and add any briefing / edited files that go with the mission.

I find it hilarious that the word reliable and anti virus is used in the same sentence. You don’t have to believe me but you could do your own research. I suggest def con talks. But basicly AV is out there to catch low hanging fruit. It is apparently not that hard to get a virus or rootkit or Trojan past any scanner so all AV will protect you against is script kiddies and noobs when it comes to that stuff. Common sense is still the best protection you can possibly use to avoid getting your PC infected. And another funny bit. More than 75% of all AV users don’t even know what to do when an AV picks up a false positive or an actual positive. They just click block and think that that’s dealt with.
+1
I remember a high school math teacher, who fancied himself a computer savvy knowledge base, tried to tell me he had 5 firewalls for extra protection and I should do the same. Oh and the person with 257 items running in the taskbar and turned the AV off because it was slowing the computer down, could I help fix the AV.I could go on, but I won’t.
Said this to my intro to computing course professor once, “Antivirus is reactive for the most part, not proactive” I think she took it as an insult and tried to argue that it would pick up threats as they came in. To which I said, “If someone wrote a virus today and infected that very machine you’re on; your anti-virus wouldn’t stop it. I’d almost guarantee it, because it’s never seen it or been told what to look for.” That is why I personally don’t use Anti-virus, and just use safe browsing techniques or send the link to people like Revolpathon and observe what happens :D.
Anyways, to bring myself back on topic, personally I’m anti-virus free save for something like SpyBot S&D / Malware Bytes. If a virus hits the machine its better to just nuke the install and start over. PC usually runs better too. That being said, for someone like my parents who aren’t exactly familiar with tech the Anti-virus saves me some late night phone calls occasionally. I have them either on Kaspersky or NOD32 as well as my favorite tool, teamviewer. The freeware stuff I generally use is stuff like AVG-Free, and Avast Free other than that, you’re really not going to find anything decent out there for free.

@Switch:
Seriously, won’t you stop bitching about it?
It is the first time ever a Falcon 4 modding group is officially allowed by the legal owner to edit data AND source code. I think that is the best outcome which could happen.
Technical stuff to keep it that way should be the less of our worries.
TBH I’d chalk that up to a win for BMS and modding teams in general. Similar to how Valve gave the BlackMesa team its blessing.

Well is there a way to calibrate the screen based on what you say? Meaning a photo where this x area should be pure black - not visible or something like that.
Windows has that functionality built in.
Go to display under the control panel and “calibrate color” (I don’t know if it is the same on 8/10 as I don’t use them).
Personally, I just played around with the DDS files a little to get the effect that I want.

Speeeeed and maybe altitude and attitude but I’d put my money on speed.
If I recall correctly, if your bearing to target is greater than +/- 60 degrees it’ll be blanked as well.

No it does not seem so… It varies a lot depending on where you are looking. First I also thought it might be elevation but sometimes it goes up to +800 sometimes down to -150 on flat terrain.
North Pointer / Meterstick
By selecting N/M via OSB 19 in the Control page the longitude, latitude and elevation of the current System Point Of Interest (SPI) position will be displayed in the upper left corner of the MFD display along with an arrow pointing north in the upper right corner and a number to the right of the meterstick (cross-hair) which is the length in meters of each line of the cross-hair.
Hope that helps

Hi fulcrum, yes that was me, still been flying just ,solo, or with a few long term wingmen, my schedule was a bit mental back then ,full time dad, soldier, house wife, taxi driver, and football coach ect ect …the wing was going through a transitional period with going viper only and losing the a10 part , i was getting lots of hours in during uk evening times daily mostly lifts but struggled sometimes for the big flights, anyway wing looks to be doing well ,hopefully i will pop by soon
Ah! Sorry for the delayed turn around on my end here. Well I look forward to talking with you again!

Greetings all. I have been scratching my head for days over this issue so I’m hoping someone with a little more knowledge in regards to the back end of the sim can help me out. My issue is that aircraft begin to vibrate when I’m close to them. What I mean by that is it would appear to be connection lag if it were in a multiplayer session. However, this is happening in single player as well as in multiplayer. So for example lets take a KC10. At 2nm away and on the TGP the aircraft in question is stable as a rock. At 1nm still stable. Then at roughly .1nm the aircraft will begin to vibrate slightly and in pre-contact position. Well lets just say you better have a good stomach as the aircraft is vibrating backwards / forwards and from side to side by maybe a foot in either direction at any one time. As you can imagine this makes formation flying quite un-pleasant.
The theaters it occurs in is EMF and I’ve discovered it in Balkans as well. I’ve gone over and checked my drivers / tried others, reinstalled my sim / theaters twice over now and nothing has seemed to help the issue at all.
The PC has the following components installed (I’m only listing a few that I believe would really be the culprit here)
i7 3770k @ 4.2ghz
GTX 980 SC Driver 347.09
16GB
